First Time in Forever by Sarah Morgan is $2.99! This is the first book in the Puffin Island series. Fans of Morgan’s romance say this one lacks some oomph, but is still a lovely and sweet ride to an HEA. It has a 4-star average on Goodreads.
If you’re new to Hide Your Wallet, this is where we list new releases we’re pretty excited for in the coming month. Each reviewer has a book maximum (five per person), but we’ve separated HYW into two parts. The first HYW of the month will cover books that release from the 1st to the 14th. The second HYW will cover books released from the 15th to the end of the month. We also think this … Continue reading October’s New Releases, Part One→
Dream Maker by Kristen Ashley is $1.99! This book released in May and is the first in a new series. I’m very curious about the heroine, who takes up erotic dancing to help pay for her engineering degree. I’m all for more positive representations of sex work, though Ashley’s books don’t always work for me. Have you read this one?
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: An Extraordinary Union by Alyssa Cole is $2.99 at Amazon! This could expire ASAP. Simply put, GET THIS BOOK. Sarah completely loved it:
First, yes, you should absolutely read this book immediately, if you haven’t already. There is so much happening in the conflict within each of the protagonists, between the protagonists, and around them and their allies and enemies, I can’t possibly discuss all of it, but please know: if you are a reader (and why else would you be here, right?) this book is a marvelous, intelligent, respectful, breathtaking treat for your brain.
One Fine Duke by Lenora Bell is $1.99! This is part of the School for Dukes series and I think we featured in on Cover Awe for the lovely dreamy quality of the cover. Though of course, if you have allergies, you may disagree. Readers enjoyed the adventure elements, but at times felt they overshadowed the romance.
RECOMMENDED: A Curious Beginning by Deanna Raybourn is 99c! This is a historical mystery and Sarah really enjoyed it. Here’s what she said:
I read A Curious Beginning with an I-cannot-put-this-down enthusiasm and devoured it very quickly. I relished both the characters and the mystery. The Veronica Speedwell series is excellent and intelligent fun, and while the second isn’t quite as satisfying as the first, I heartily recommend them both.
First Time in Forever by Sarah Morgan is $2.99! This is the first book in the Puffin Island series. Fans of Morgan’s romance say this one lacks some oomph, but is still a lovely and sweet ride to an HEA. It has a 4-star average on Goodreads.
The Anatomist’s Wife by Anna Lee Huber is $2.99 at Amazon, which means this deal could expire soon! This is a historical mystery that we tend to recommend on Instagram who want Deanna Raybourn or Lady Sherlock read-alikes. Some people found the prose a bit flowery, while others loved the characters and setting.
This guest review is from Sam, who is a longtime romance and SBTB reader. … I’ve read so many of Sarah Morgan’s books, all the way back to when she wrote Harlequin Presents. I don’t like billionaires or captains of industry, but if Morgan wrote them, I was all in. I liked the Harlequins and I liked the longer books she wrote, too. Unfortunately for me, Morgan is now writing women’s fiction. And women’s fiction … Continue reading Guest Review: One Summer in Paris by Sarah Morgan→
Radio Silence by Alyssa Cole is $1.99 at most vendors! Carrie reviewed this book in April of 2015. Redheadedgirl also said, “Based on a rec from Courtney Milan, this is set during an apocalyptic event with a we-all-need-to-work-together and try not to go nutty from the isolation plot – it’s tight, tense, and really good.”
Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey is 99c at Amazon and $2.99 elsewhere! This is a standalone contemporary romance and one that I’m excited about because I absolutely love Charleston, SC. Some readers were conflicted about the fact that the hero was indeed ready to marry his fiance before everything went tits up. But I also recommend Bailey for people who love hot sex scenes and dirty talking.
