All in all, this book was a fun romp. There were some truly wild moments of alien biology I won’t spoil, but they were more amusing than horrific. Roland and Vanessa’s tension and chemistry was truly delicious. Their physical relationship was a bit of a slow burn but well worth the wait.
Happy Tuesday! This is quite a busy week for new releases; we have a dozen on our radar. Things do calm down as we get closer to the end of the month. Which releases are you excited for this week? Let us know in the comments!
The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst is $1.99! This came out last summer and I’ve heard it’s lovely, but may fall into the category of “no plot, just vibes.” Have you read this one?
Welcome back, everyone! Shockingly, we only have one non-fiction title this week. We also have a historical fantasy, a contemporary Gothic, and a historical with a mix of mystery and romance. Have you received any good book recs lately? Want to impart a recommendation of your own? Let us know in the comments!
Happy Tuesday! Hide those wallets because we’re about to discuss new book releases hitting shelves this week! Not all of these are coming out today; some are out later in the week. Be sure to check those pub dates, just in case you’re hoping to see them on your ereader this morning. What books are you excited for this week? Let us know in the comments!
Happy Place by Emily Henry is $4.99! Henry’s books don’t go on super sale very often so this may be the best price we’re getting in terms of a discount! Do you have a favorite Henry romance?
Our Stop by Laura Jane Williams is 99c! Some readers felt it was more of a novel with strong romantic elements rather than a contemporary romance, so keep that in mind. The romance might be background to whatever the main character is going through. Have you read it?
RECOMMENDED: Last Night with the Earl by Kelly Bowen is $1.99! I so loved this book and gave it an A-. This is the second book in the Devils of Dover series, but can be read out of order (I did).
For readers who love slow burn historicals that have a focus on emotional healing, I can’t push this into your hands or onto your e-readers fast enough.
If you’re new to Hide Your Wallet, this is where we list new releases we’re pretty excited for in the coming month. Each reviewer has a book maximum (five per person), but we’ve separated HYW into two parts. The first HYW of the month will cover books that release from the 1st to the 14th. The second HYW will cover books released from the 15th to the end of the month. We also think this … Continue reading March 2021 New Releases, Part One→
RECOMMENDED: Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas is $3.99 and part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals! So many readers were looking forward to this book when it first released, and Carrie gave it a B+:
Devil in Spring was so delightful that I read it slowly because I had to take frequent squee breaks. I truly cannot sufficiently express how overjoyed this book made me. That said, I don’t think it will be everyone’s catnip, because the main character sometimes seems overly young and naïve, even given her character quirks.
