This month, we have a very special sponsored Covers and Cocktails! I had so much fun working on these drinks and since there are seven books (seven!) to discuss, I’m just going to get into without much preamble. My inspiration has come from the The Kristen Proby Crossover Collection! Proby has teamed up with 1001 Dark Nights and six other romance authors to create a collection of romances that cross over with her Big Sky … Continue reading Covers & Cocktails: The Kristen Proby Mini-Cocktail Collection →

In His Hands by Adriana Anders is $1.99! This is book three in the Blank Canvas series and I highly recommend the entire series. The books are on the darker side (content warning themes of abuse, isolation, violence), but Anders does a great job with slow burn romances. And, if you want all of the books, the first and second book are 99c each!

Just the Thing by Marie Harte is 99c! This is the second book in The Donnigans contemporary romance series and features a no strings attached arrangement. Readers say this is an emotional romance with a great happily ever after. However, some found the hero to be rather immature for someone in his thirties.

Slow Surrender by Cecilia Tan is 99c! This is book one in the Struck by Lightning series. Tan also received a Lifetime Achievement Award at RT last year. This book has a 3.9-star average, and some reviewers said they found it incredibly hot and thought it had some psychological thriller aspects, too. On Twitter, Corey Alexander said, “If you are a fan of Cinderella romances, orgasm control, semi-public play, or slow burn D/s, this book is for you.”

My Kind of Wonderful by Jill Shalvis is $1.99! This is the second book in her Cedar Ridge contemporary romance series. Readers loved the chemistry between the hero and heroine, but some mentioned that they both came with a lot more baggage than they were expecting from a Shalvis romance. Have you read this one?

Owning Violet by Monica Murphy is 99c! This is the first book in the Fowler Sisters erotic romance series. It was also featured in December’s edition of Hide Your Wallet. I actually bought the book, though it’s in TBR purgatory right now. The heroine is an heiress to a cosmetics company (along with her two sisters) and the hero is a co-worker. So if workplace romances are your catnip, look out. Some readers felt the heroine was a bit of a push over, while others thought this was a great start to a new erotica series. It has a 3.7-star rating on Goodreads.
