The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel by Jennifer McQuiston is $1.99! This is part of the Seduction Diaries series and readers are divided on whether they eventually warmed up to the hero. Jennifer’s podcast interview on the site is one of my faves because she’s so fascinating.
Forbidden Promises by Synithia Williams is $2.99! This was a previous Hide Your Wallet pick and the first in the Jackson Falls small town romance series, which features a lot of complicated and dramatic family dynamics, judging from the comments last time it was on sale.
So I loved Take a Hint, Dani Brown. How much? I joined the Bad Decisions Book Club on the reread. Which started right after I had finished it the first time. Yes. I knew exactly where the book was going to go and I could not put it down. Honestly, I’m reading it a third time.
Hook Shotby Kennedy Ryan is $1.99 at Amazon! This is the third book in the HOOPS series, and the second book is also on sale. The hero in this one is a single dad and an athlete, who has just been traded to a pretty weak basketball team.
RECOMMENDED: A Gentleman Never Keeps Score by Cat Sebastian is $1.99! Carrie read this one and enjoyed it. It was given a B+ grade:
I enjoyed this book so much! A Gentleman Never Keeps Score is a Regency m/m about a disgraced gentleman and a Black pub keeper. The book has a lovely romance as well as a theme of found family and recovery from trauma.
The Perks of Loving a Scoundrel by Jennifer McQuiston is 99c! This is part of the Seduction Diaries series and readers are divided on whether they eventually warmed up to the hero. Jennifer’s podcast interviews on the site is one of my faves because she’s so fascinating.
Diary of an Accidental Wallflower by Jennifer McQuiston is $1.99. This is the first book in McQuiston’s Seduction Diaries series. Readers who enjoyed it loved that the hero was of a lower social class than the heroine. Several readers also describe McQuiston’s books as their new favorite comfort reads – now that’s a huge compliment! Plus, McQuiston’s podcast episode with us, is one of the most popular in the archives.
It’s mid-November and the Christmas cheer has begun its war against my curmudgeonly senses. It’s also the time where I have no concept of what day it is since it starts getting dark at 4pm now. Club: The nameless, vague religion in Adventure Time is one … Continue reading Foodie Gifts, Romance Discussion, & More→
RECOMMENDED: Destiny’s Surrender by Beverly Jenkins is $2.99! This is the second book in her Destiny series and follows Andrew, Logan’s brother. He has a particularly unique relationship with a courtesan named Billie, who shows up on his doorstep with a child she says is his – and with the intention of leaving her son there so he can have a better life and escape the danger that’s closely following Billie. This book has an impressive 4.2-star rating on GR.
Destiny’s Embrace by Beverly Jenkins is $1.99! Jenkins is this year’s RWA Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement awardee! Carrie read this one and gave it a B, saying that she wished she had read the previous books in the trilogy, but she loved the sense of place:
I loved how physical the world of the story feels – the blue sea in Cuba, the dresses, the parties, the dirt on the segregated train, the horses, and the discussions about American versus Cuban food.
