RECOMMENDED: Well Played by Jen DeLuca is $2.99! Carrie gave this a B+ in a Lightning Review:
This is a gentle and obvious Cyrano de Bergerac story with very little conflict.

Broken by Jenny Lawson is $2.99! A couple of use here at SBTB have really loved Lawsons’ previous two memoir collections and this is her third, which came out this April. Humor can certainly be subjective. If you’re tempted by this one, but are unsure if her voice will work for you, she has a long-running blog: The Bloggess.
Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness is $2.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals. I believe reading this is most beneficial if you’ve finished the All Souls Trilogy, though correct me if I’m wrong. If it’s the latter, Lara wrote a great post about why the series is such a favorite for her.
PODCAST RECOMMENDED: A Lady’s Code of Misconduct by Meredith Duran is $1.99! This historical romance was recommended on a podcast episode with Sarah, Elyse, and Karen of the Knit One, Geek Two podcast. Karen mentioned that she’s a sucker for amnesia stories and this one has an amnesiac hero. Have you read this one
The All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness is $3.99! This set contains a complete, finished trilogy and it part of today’s KDDs (Harrow the Ninth is included!). This trilogy seems to be rather divisive as I’ve seen comments on the site where people have love it or couldn’t make it through the first book.

Time’s Convert by Deborah Harkness is $2.99! Fans of Harkness, please give me clarification. Can this one be read without reading the A Discovery of Witches series? Or is that essential to the story? If it’s the latter, Lara just wrote a great post about why the series is such a favorite for her.
The first thing I heard about this book was that it wasn’t very good. But I’m a romance reader and so I care not a fig fancy for others’ opinions of my reading preferences. It didn’t hurt that my love for vampires was (and still is) so tremendously strong that any qualms I had were quickly squashed. When it became clear to me that the heroine would be gifted with a vampire hero, I launched … Continue reading Keeper Shelf: A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
The Witches Are Coming by Lindy West is $3.99! This is a Kindle Daily Deal and is being price-matched right now. A bunch of us were excited for this one on a previous Hide Your Wallet. While this nonfiction may be a cathartic read, it also might be a little heavy right now.
Stormy Persuasion by Johanna Lindsey is $1.99 at Amazon and $2.99 elsewhere! Readers loved the opposites attract element of this historical romance, while others found the plot to be a little all over the place. It looks like a few other of Lindsey’s books are discounted.
The Proposal by Mary Balogh is $2.99! This is the first book in her Survivor’s Club series, which is a favorite amongst the Bitchery. Readers loved the hero, Hugo, but I will admit I’ve never read a Balogh that I wasn’t “meh” about. Balogh fans, what do you love about her books?
