I’ve also included two of my favorite books to suggest, as I feel like they’re vastly underrated and I selfishly want more people to read them. What recommendations have you received lately? Someone to Romance by Mary Balogh is $1.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and, I believe, the most recent title in the Westcott series. It was also mentioned in a previous Hide Your Wallet. The Bitchery loves Balogh and this series especially. Do you have a favorite?
The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin is $3.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and is being price-matched. Jemisin is a brilliant author and you should snap up any book when it’s on sale. This is a departure from Jemisin’s previous high fantasy titles and is more urban fantasy with some superhero vibes.
Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill is $2.99! Urban fantasy with some hints of romance, Some Girls Bite is the first book in the Chicagoland Vampire series. The cover had a pretty big facelift, by the way, and I think it’s actually an improvement. Some found the books elements a little silly (i.e. continuous Buffy references), while others really enjoyed them. Have you read this one?

RECOMMENDED: The Glass Ocean by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White is $2.99! This is historical fiction and Elyse gave it a B+:
Historical fiction is my jam. Historical fiction with a side of trans-Atlantic research flirting even more so. The Glass Ocean didn’t work perfectly for me, but it made me eager for another Williams/Willig/ White novel.
I haven’t read any of the Chicagoland Vampire series, so I went into the spinoff series with zero world knowledge. The lack of knowledge wasn’t a problem because, boy howdy, is there some infodumpage in the first few chapters.
