So there are some parties happening this weekend. I’m sort of “meh” about them.
I haven’t been a big rah-rah fan of July 4 for several years (since…2016 maybe? Wonder why?) and for several years it was a very stressful holiday for my dogs, and therefore for us. Our solution for our dogs, if you need help: a Bluetooth speaker turned up very loud playing brown noise (the worst name for a pretty good sleeping aid). That would cover a lot of the noise, though the vibrations were tough for them to deal with.
But even though my dogs have moved on to the dog park in the great beyond, this year I’m really not into celebrating the US.
I’ve said a few times that I think every hundred years for a country is comparable to 1 year of human development. So we’re 2 and a half this year, and…I think my theory holds a lot of water, honestly.
