Welcome back, everyone! It’s the middle of the week, which means now we get to start thinking about Friday. Let’s be honest, though, there are some weeks when I start thinking about Friday on Sunday evening.
I’m already seeing Christmas stuff despite Halloween still being two weeks away. I know there’s the recurring joke that Christmas decor is getting put out earlier and earlier and I think that’s pretty accurate.
This year, I’m pretty meh on the holidays. How are you feeling?

I saw a Big Idea post over on John Scalzi’s Whatever blog that really excited me today. (10/14). The author is Madeleine Robins, and she is releasing a new book in her Sarah Tolerance series, The Doxie’s Penalty. I have all the other books in this series, though it’s mystery rather than romance set in an alt Regency period. I consider these books to be an unsung treasure.

This was sent in by Lisle, who included a gift link. It’s an article on the romance industry from The Atlantic. Nothing we don’t already know, but this is more for those not already inside the house.

The trailer for the “Heated Rivalry” tv adaptation is out! Our Canandian friends will be able to watch it on Crave; no U.S. option for the show yet.

HeatherS – OMG Canada! ‘Heated Rivalry’ looks awesome!
I am feeling like I need every reason to try and feel merry, so I am all about the holiday season this year. I’ve been reading books set at Christmas, and I’m trying to embrace all the holidays coming up. I’m usually a bit late decorating the house since becoming an empty nester, but this year I vow I will not be carving my pumpkin on Oct. 30th!
