Hey, everyone! How the heck is it Wednesday?
I just got back from vacation and of course, I’m swamped in work and other obligations. It sucks. Definitely not the “ease back into real life” that I wanted.
Over the weekend, I attended a big Disney pin trading evening (my first one!). I had a lot of fun, but I think the highlight was attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. It was really exciting to be in the park so late. My partner doesn’t really do rollercoasters, so Space Mountain was essentially a walk-on for me.

I just discovered Melani Saunders and the We Do Not Care Club, for women (of a certain age), who don’t care anymore. I am probably late to this party, but I found her videos hilarious and very relatable. Among other things, she wears multiple pairs of readers, because she loses them. I watch her on YouTube, but post-election, really cutback on my social media use, so I’m not sure where else you can find her.
I think 901 has a great shot this year, although I am notoriously bad at picking winners.
I miss the sliders in the before and after photos. Very helpful in seeing not just who is the largest but who has the most impressive gains.

@Another Anne: You can find her on Instagram, too. For me, that platform is less political — yes, I enjoy my echo chamber, thanks for asking — and she’s on FB. Apparently Melani was interviewed on a morning TV show and I am thrilled for her getting this exposure, scary as it might feel. Everything else? We do not care.
Melani is on TikTok, too. Has a deal with Dove, was on other talk shows. She wrote a book, which someone tried to hijack with a clone.

It’s one guy acting out all the parts of the BBC(Colin Firth) version of P&P and it’s hysterical. Just a few minutes of it makes my whole day.
