Links: Tattoos, Small Kitties, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back to Wednesday Links! How was your weekend?

My partner and I saw Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse. We loved it and are tempted to go see it again, but this time in IMAX. It was so much fun and wow, do I want to see Daniel Kaluuya play more fun roles. Have any of you watched it yet?

It was also just a slow, lazy weekend. I abandoned all of my plans to be productive and it felt SO GOOD.

This podcast may be of interest to the Bitchery! It’s called Reclaiming Jane. Their about page states:

If you’ve ever felt like you’re not “allowed” to like Jane Austen – whether because her work is too white, too academic, or too straight – we’ve been there. And this podcast is for you.

I loved this essay on tattoos and how they can serve as liberation and reclamation for the “colonized body.”

Sarah shared this subreddit in the SBTB Slack: r/illegallysmolcats. The subreddit was up when I formatted this post, but keep in mind there are many subreddits going private to protest Reddit’s impending ban of third party apps. You can also read more about that particular issue here.

Let’s wrap things up with some funky saxophone and even funkier dance moves. I learned of Leo P and the band he’s a part of, Too Many Zooz after one of their NYC busking videos went viral on Vine (remember Vine?). Definitely look them up!

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
