Links: Video Games, Katee Robert, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back to Wednesday Links!

How did we all do for Valentine’s Day? Just another day for some of you? I got a haircut and had a nice homemade dinner. My partner made bolognese and I made a chocolate souffle. All in all, not bad!

I also cannot wait for February to be over. There is something about January and February that just drags for me. Anyone else?

The Salt Eaters Bookshop is throwing a Renaissance Rent Party to keep their doors open. They’re based in Inglewood, CA and need some extra help!

Sarah and I were interviewed about the popularity of Katee Robert for Paste Magazine. Definitely happy to see some sexier books getting mainstream attention.

This article on the “junkification” of Amazon was FASCINATING!

Thanks to everyone who told us about this Humble Bundle! Eight romance games are up for grabs for around $12. The sale is good for around another week.

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

Tor Publishing has announced a new romance imprint for later this year.
First novel out of the gate will be by Jennifer Armentrout:

Really enjoyed the article about Amazon. My sister needed a new band for her watch recently and the brand one was expensive. I suggested that she might be able to find the part she needed to fix it on Amazon (my husband found new pins for holding the band on his watch a couple of years ago.) And she said, “pfft, Amazon is functionally a flea market at this point.” Interesting to see that that’s basically its strategy!

OK, that Paste article about Katee Robert is my corners of the internet colliding, which feels strange. I’ve been following Pajiba, the site Kayleigh Donaldson primarily writes for since it was a tiny niche pop culture website. Likewise, I’ve been hanging out on this website for more years than I can remember.

I’m excited for February to be over because I can’t wait for spring and all my flowers to bloom. 🙂

A bit of a downbeat story, but remember a few years ago when a romance writer tried to trademark the word “cocky”? Well, she’s missing:
