This HaBO comes from Rikki, who wants to find the first erotic novel they read:
This book was amazing, the first erotica I ever read. I think it was published in the 90s and had a hot pink cover.
It was about a woman named Alexandra (I think that was her name), who was working in an ad agency (or something like that). She was supposed to bag a new account and was sent to chase down an elusive CEO. On her journey she slept with a young guy named Tim, the daughter of the CEO, had a threesome with Tim and his buddy, and eventually ended up sleeping with the CEO in an art gallery (or exhibition room?) in a full latex suit.
Hope you can help a B out!
You know what, good for her!
The story and the timing (and the full latex suit) are screaming “Black Lace Books, Black Lace Books!”. The hot pink cover, not so much (although some of Emma Holly’s BL titles were reissued with bright-colored covers). Rikki – do you recall whether it was set in Great Britain (as most of the early BL books were), or in the US (later on, that happened more frequently)? That distinction might help someone narrow it down. Thanks.
This also is screaming Black Lace to me. And it reminds me of a specific author and when I remember her name, I’ll post it.
The Black Lace authors I was thinking of are Portia Da Costa and Fredrica Alleyn or maybe Lucinda Carrington.
The description reminds me of Portia Da Costa’s Continuum – the details are different but similar banana pants plot.
