Sleeping Giants
RECOMMENDED: Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel is $2.99! It’s a scifi novel with some great female characters. Readers say that though this scifi is a little darker and less “feel good,” they loved it. However, some felt a bulk of the book was just setup and information dumping for the next book. Elyse enjoyed this one and I really loved the audiobook.

My pick here’s definitely No Rings Attached; I enjoyed it a lot.
Lisa Henry’s LIGHTS AND SIRENS, second in her Emergency Services series, is on sale at Amazon US for .99, Amazon UK for .83. I *think* you’d be OK starting with this book because a different couple is featured.
I enjoyed Sleeping Giants and plan to get the sequel when it goes on sale. It kind of reminded me of old-fashioned science fiction from the 1960-70s era (fortunately with less sexism). There is some pretty creepy stuff in this, although not to the level of horror, and not much in the way of romance. But all in all, a good suspenseful read.
Cait Mary’s Season’s Change is on sale for $3.50–I’ve been waiting for that to go on sale for a while. It’s m/m hockey romance in case that’s anyone else’s jam too.
I second the recommendation for Cait Nary’s book. I’ve read dissenting opinions but I loved the slow burn plus the big pay-off at the end. The second book in the series – featuring another couple, I believe – is coming out in September.
I highly recommend Lisa Henry’s Lights and Sirens! It’s the second in the series but it’s completely stand alone. MM romance set in Queensland, Australia between a police officer and a paramedic. There’s some initial rivalry and miscommunication but that gets cleared up quickly.
I’m currently enjoying Cait Nary’s Season’s Change so will add my vote.
