Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Happy Wednesday! Is anyone else ready for this week to be over? I’m already exhausted from it. Also thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes and happy belated birthday to those who celebrated their own!

We’re warming up here in New England and I already miss the fall weather. I feel like spring is probably the hardest for me to dress for in terms of managing layers and rainy weather. I also look much cuter in my fall and winter attire.

Any seasonal preferences in the audience?

I know we have some fellow gamers amongst us! My friend Emma recently backed this on Kickstarter: Kiss U. It’s a high fantasy dating sim set at a university and features a non-binary Howl type character to romance. Hello!

Obsessed with this artist and their takes on terrariums!

LitHub has a piece on why sex scenes are feminist and necessary! Wonderful points all around, but the write up definitely has some alienating language in regards to ace romance readers.

Here’s a podcast both Sarah and I enjoy called Normal Gossip. It’s description: “Normal Gossip delivers juicy, strange, funny, and utterly banal gossip about people you’ll never know and never meet.”

Lastly, something to make you laugh.

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

I’ve been completely hooked on historical fashion YouTube lately: here’s just one sample, about shoes, of what i’ve been spending hours just staring at 🙂

When it’s not historical fashion it’s author chats: Season 2 of Kate Elliot’s Narrative Worlds series is happening as live events (followed by SFWA YouTube recordings) right now, and while they may not all be familiar to the romance crowd there’s a few names included that would be recognized around here, like N. K. Jemisin and Zen Cho, both of whom were on Season 1, and definitely Martha Wells, who did the live event a few days ago for Season 2, that one isn’t up yet but it should be soon-ish, i think they wait a week to upload them. Here’s the season 1 playlist link for starters 😉

LIFT 4 Autism is holding an online auction (bidding ends Friday) and so many of our favorite romance writers have donated items (including Kati Wilde, Ruby Dixon, Marley Valentine, Kennedy Ryan, and I believe I saw Nora Roberts as I was scrolling through, among many, many others): signed copies, Zoom chats, other neat stuff, and for a worthy cause. Take a look:

I’ve been hooked on two YouTube series. History Tea Time with Lindsay Holiday has been a favourite for years. She makes historical documentaries that focus on royal women, past and present. She’s also going to be hosting a podcast starting in june called History tea time. The other series on YouTube I’m addicted to is Namibiacam. Who doesn’t love watching a watering hole to see what animals show up!

We’ve been watching and rewatching ‘Old Enough!’ on Netflix. It’s about toddlers running errands… gamut of emotions every episode!
