Hey, Canadian Folks! Have You Checked Out Kobo Plus?

This post is brought to you by Kobo Plus! Some links may be affiliate coded, which brings a portion of your purchase back to us at no extra charge to you. Thank you to Rakuten Kobo and Kobo Plus!

Hey, Canadian readers! This post is only for you.

Just you, no one else.

If I’ve done things correctly, only you and I will be able to see this post.

Just you!

Would you look at that?

Squirrelly Dan from Letterkenny does a double take at his phone

Why?

Because I’m going to tell you about Kobo Plus, an all-you-can-read ebook subscription at Kobo that’s only available for you.

In Canada. (Hi neighbors!)

Not me, down here, south of y’all.

Nope, not me.

Wayne from letterkenny hangs his head sadly

Nope, I cannot join the Kobo Plus panoply of ebooks. I am going to tell you about something I cannot access because of geographic location.

Feels kinda nice, huh?

I’m enjoying this, to be honest. It’s only fair.

A LOT of deals and announcements that we see here in the US aren’t available to you (BOOOOOOOOOO) and conversely, we can’t always see what’s nifty and available just for you in Canada!

But you, most maple-y fabulous Canadian members of the Smart Bitches Community, can get Kobo Plus, for $9.99CDN per month, and take a deep dive into all the ebooks you can read!

Just for you!

wayne from Letterkenny says Now There's a Good Friend

Kobo Plus starts with a 30-day free trial (I can read a lot in 30 days, and I bet you can, too). After that, it’s $9.99CDN a month!

And listen, I KNOW that the Bank of Canada has allegedly said that there isn’t maple scent on your shiny currency, but I don’t believe it because I have smelled Canadian dollars when last I was allowed to visit, and they were maple-fabulous. You can’t fool me.

(P.S. do not smell American dollars, trust me on that.)

So all you need are $9.99 of your maple-tastic Canadian dollars, and you can read unlimited numbers of ebooks on the free Kobo app, or any Kobo eReader. There’s no long-term commitment, because you pay only once a month, and you can cancel anytime.

Kobo Plus has romance, mystery, YA, science fiction, fantasy, and nonfiction – it’s all in there.

I have enjoyed Kobo Plus because often they have the newest books I hear buzz about and want to read, that are not available in Kindle Unlimited. The last month I have read on Kobo Plus most of the lastest Lauren Blakely series about baseball that I loved. Also Penny Reid’s latest Totally Folked, The Busy Bean Series set in Sarina Bowen’s True North Universe, Serena Bell’s Make Me Wilder, Waylaid by Sarina Bowen and some of her Brooklyn Bruisers stories, Vivian Arend, etc. etc. etc. so I certainly have gotten my money’s worth.

Wow I need to look into spending my maple scented shiny dollars on this deal . Looks good.

I’m a total Kobo reader – no Zon for me. Wide or nothing because I refuse to give any more $ to Amazon than absolutely possible. And Kobo Plus is fantastic – I’ve been using it since it launched.

  6. Chantal M says:

I have kobo plus and I got it mainly for the Lindsey Buroker catalogue! Love it so much!

  7. Michelle Zapf-Belanger says:

I’ve had Kobo Plus for a year. It’s great for a lot of indie/self-pub titles especially, and there is a lot to choose from! Some REALLY GREAT STUFF. They have some bigger romance names to boast than posted above. Please check out:
–every single book by Jackie Lau. Her trad-pub debut, Donut Fall In Love, comes out in a month, and everyone will have heard of her then, but us Canadians know that she has a huge backlist and they’re all on Kobo Plus
–at least half of K J Charles, folks! That’s right, all her self-pub stuff, including the Will Darling Adventures, is free!
–all of Rose Lerner, YES FOLKS
–Elizabeth Essex’s entire backlist! Boats boats boats!
–Bec McMaster in all her steampunk glory
–Grace Callaway. I fell in love with Kobo Plus because of Ambrose Kent.
–Golden Angel and all the spanks you could want
–self-pub darlings Darcy Burke, Erica Ridley, Victoria Vale, Sorcha Mobray
    –I’m probably forgetting someone important

  8. Batgirl says:

Yeah, I think this has convinced me. I share my Kobo account with my husband, so this could be really helpful.
