Archangel’s Sun by Nalini Singh is $1.99! This is part of today’s Kindle Daily Deals and was released recently. This is book thirteen in the Guild Hunter series, which I think should probably be read in order.

The Queen’s Wings by Jamie K. Schmidt is $1.99! Sarah was reading this on a previous Whatcha Reading and here’s what she had to say:

And the women are being confined by a curse so there are five total female dragons in the world, who are worshipped like queens and get to have sex with whomever they want though they are expected to birth dragons to continue the species and all. It’s first person, so there’s sarcasm and goofiness, and it’s not dark and emotional and scary, which is exactly what I need.
Long ago, the Cult of Humanity sacrificed the Dragon Queen, crippling the breeding process. But now Carolyn hears the voice of that long dead queen telling her that she holds the key to breaking the spell that will free all the female dragons.

Jane Doe
RECOMMENDED: Jane Doe by Victoria Helen Stone is still available for $1.99! Elyse and Sarah jointly review the book today and gave it a B+. They thought it was an empowering book, but felt the ending was a bit rushed. Please be warned that this book deals with all forms of abuse and abuse against a child. I’ve also heard other readers recommend the audiobook.

Discretion
Discretion by Karina Halle is 99c! This is the first book in The Dumonts series and I think others in the series are on sale. Halle writes a lot of rags to riches romance, if that’s your catnip, but it also has a lot of billionaire heroes (which I know many of us aren’t interested in for our romantic leads). Have you read this one?

Ronald Brownstein’s ROCK ME ON THE WATER: 1974 THE YEAR LOS ANGELES TRANSFORMED MOVIES, MUSIC, TELEVISION, AND POLITICS is a $1.99 KDD today (and can I say how much I appreciate the use of the Oxford comma in the subtitle?). This book may be of more interest to “matriarchal bitches” such as yours truly, for whom 1974 coincided with my junior year of high school and emergence into a wider world of political awareness (Nixon’s resignation, Roe v. Wade a newly-minted ruling) and popular culture (going to see “Chinatown” and “Godfather II” multiple times, listening to Joni Mitchell’s records until I wore down the grooves on the vinyl). Good times!

You definitely want to read the Guild Hunter series in order. Nothing will make sense if you don’t. It is a vary good series, and I find it doesn’t get as much buzz as the Singh’s Psy/Changling series, but I like it better.
I really really enjoyed JANE DOE.
