Links: Mantras, Helen Hoang, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Happy Hump Day!

Can you believe it’s the last Wednesday in September? I cannot, but then we’re on to October and I am so ready.

As someone who loves fall and likes to get spooky, it’s my time to shine.

A few of us at SBTB HQ have been squeeing over Gideon the Ninth, and we enjoyed this deep dive into the cover art for the book.

If you love teacher characters in romance, but want to steer clear of student/teacher romances, here are a few reading recommendations to add to your TBR pile.

Both the writer and creator/showrunner for Jane the Virgin have been tapped to take on a new project, a TV adaptation of V.E. Schwab’s The Archived, which has a ghost hunting heroine. Heck yeah!

Helen Hoang’s third book (QUAN’S BOOK!!) has a cover and a title! There’s even an excerpt available. The only downside is having to wait until 2020 to finally read the whole thing.

Need a mantra or daily affirmation to kickstart your day? Try this chart! Mine is “do you and be in charge.”

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

Frankly, “Believe in yourself, you’re resilient” just sounds like “there’s a lot more crap coming your way, enjoy the trama!!!” :-/
    So, ya know, prolly accurate.

*immediately preorders new Helen Hoang book*

  3. LauraL says:

“Yass girl, keep being a girl boss” is appropriate since I was recently promoted at work.

The Heart Principle isn’t out until MAY, 2020. Looks like Quan may get a kick-ass heroine.

  4. Mrs. Obed Marsh says:

I am NOT a goal crusher! I’m very bad at accomplishing goals! That chart is LYING.

  5. Caroline says:

    “You are….adventurous.” That’s why I found myself ordering 3 out of 4 of today’s recs. :-0

  6. Pre-Successful Indie says:

“Note to self: you are goals” sounds like it came from an AI loaded up with Pinterest memes. Hah.
