Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Heroine Tries to Save Deer on a Frozen Pond

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO comes from Margie, who thinks she may have seen this book on the site:

There was a book I think maybe I saw recommended on here. But I read the opening and remember wanting to wait to read it.

It takes place at a cabin, possibly the heroine’s family cabin.

In the opening she tries to save a deer who is about to fall through the ice into a frozen pond. She falls into the ice and is rescued by the hero, who was hanging around with his friends, who are locals.

You’ll never catch me on a frozen pond, that’s for sure.

C.M. Owens wilder series book 3. They are hilarious but the first two made me laugh harder.

@Mary Ann: Margie emailed us to confirm that you’re right!

  3. Diana says:

@Mary Ann – Can you please elaborate on that? Hilarious how?
    Would you recommend the series?

  4. Mary Ann Harlan says:

@Diana well to start with when the heroine comes to after her rescue the hero’s sister tells their mom that he kidnapped her to have his babies and his mother’s response is to get on the phone and brag to someone she is getting babies first – the hero btw is quite annoyed with this turn of events.
The series is set in this town where they have a rule that these four families can only be together on a special occasions because they are so wild – there are docks that get blown up, fights that only last during Born to be Wild, pranks, a beard challenge that keeps men from shaving for years (14 I think), that morphs into a riverdance challenge, a pet-ish and overly protective mountain lion.

Basically it is light hearted over the top ridiculous small town romance series. The first 2 heroines have over the top protective brothers. There is some family angst with the first two heroes (and maybe the third heroine, don’t remember) but honestly I read them because I wake my hubby up laughing at ridiculousness.

I just one-clicked the whole series! I also remember liking the sound of it way back in the day because the town was described as a weed town. Thanks again!
