It’s the last Wednesday in March and I am stunned that we’re heading into April. Then again, I feel like I mention the crazy passing of time almost in every Links post. We hope you’re having a great week!

The Romantic Novelists’ Association has announced the winners of their 2017 Romance Novel of the Year. Think of the award like the RITAs, but for UK authors. It’s also a good way to find some new-to-you romance writers.

Thanks to Reader Elizabeth S. for sending us this link about a pretty cool cocktail book! There’s a cover real of The Cocktail Guide to the Galaxy over at the Tor blog.
Author Andy Heidel has put together a variety of boozey recipes perfect for your next Star Wars-themed luau or a quiet night in with Game of Thrones. And Heidel knows a thing or two about nerdy cocktails—he’s the owner of The Way Station, a Doctor Who-themed bar located in New York City.
I love fun cocktail recipe books, which means I’ll probably be picking this one up!

Love data? Publishers Weekly has a really interesting post by Ben Blatt, in which he talks about his new book that uses data to show how our favorite authors write.
In my new book, Nabokov’s Favorite Word is Mauve, I use simple data to whiz through hundreds of classics, bestsellers, and fan fiction novels to explore anew our favorite authors and how they write. I uncover everything from literary fingerprints and favorite words and tics, to the changing reading level of NYT bestsellers and how men and women write characters differently.
Sounds fascinating, right?

USB Wall Outlet Adaptors!
What do we want? More USB ports! Where do we want them? EVERYWHERE!

And lastly, a little laugh: “14 Things Women Do In Adverts That Honestly Make No Fucking Sense.”
My favorite is the face-washing commercials. I have yet to find a good way to wash my face without getting water all down the front of my shirt.

A note from Sarah: A friendly reminder of my other venture, Organization Academy!
I have a free weekly newsletter with tips and step-by-step instructions for specific organization and time management strategies, like menu planning, managing last-minute schedule changes, and coordinating multiple people’s calendars. I’m still hard at work constructing the Master Class series on Google Calendar.
And I’m also building a free webinar about easier, effective, and organized spring cleaning. If you’d like to know when that’s ready, please sign up!
And if you’ve got questions, you can always email me.

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!
The Ben Blatt link is missing?
I only found information about the post, not the post itself 🙁

Fixed! Sorry about that, Bea. The link is right here.
My shirts come out of face washing relatively dry, but the slope of my apparently deformed forearms ensures I end up standing in the puddle of the water that cascades off my elbows. I would be easy to assassinate with any small electrical appliance during this activity.
How about the commercial with women in swimsuits trimming topiaries in front of their crotches? (HA HA NO ONE WILL EVER GET THE BUSH REFERENCE!) Who’s stoked about wielding something that can be used to trim hedges around your hooha?
Maybe the upside-down yogurt spoon lady washes her face like that to clean the yogurt off her shirt?
Remind me of this:

Just wanted to share the link to the ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ cast reunion ( to celebrate the show’s 20th anniversary). Feeling nostalgic. 😉

@Ren: I always want to see one of the women just chop that tiny tree right in half.
I love the book on writing stats! That looks so interesting! 🙂 The things women do in commercials is worth a laugh or two as well! Thanks for sharing! 😉
I’m all over the Ben Blatt book!
The RONA winners should be subtitled with “HIDE YOUR WALLET FLIPPING NOW.” There are so many that look good.
