I'm trying out some contest software options for the upcoming Thanksgivukkah Extravaganzukkah, wherein I lose my mind and give away prizes each day for the eight nights of Hanukkah. Only this year, because Thanksgiving (US version, now with more turkey) overlaps with Hanukkah, it's extra bonkers. At least, it feels that way because JEEZ IS IT EARLY.
I've been researching a few different options since some of the visually impaired folks in the Bitchery told me they were having trouble with Rafflecopter, and I received some email from other folks who weren't getting along with the 'copter, too. So, today, I test PunchTab!

Worked fine for me. $25 gift card at Amazon would be nice because a) it would help me pay the extra $2 that Amazon charges for international downloads; and b) my younger son (my baby) is being drafted into the IDF tomorrow and I need something to read to keep my mind occupied. (My older son is already serving.)

PunchTab works well for me. I also never had any problems with Rafflecopter. I always used it on my desktop though, it seems the issue was with people on their mobile devices.
After having survived building a web app I know that it is fairly easy to set keyboard/casing rules in a giveaway box and it drives me a little nuts when an email box wants to use capital case as a default. I don’t know many people with a capital letter for their email address. But that’s me be nitpicky. More glaring was the fact that I couldn’t get the submit function to work from the launch inside twitter. I had to open in safari, which just means an extra step. No word on whether this is visible inside feedlly (raffle copter is not), since SBTB is a once a week refresh for some cracked out reason
it worked ok for me. it was really easy. thanks for the giveaway. sometimes when rafflecopter wants me to like a page, the link is not there.
I entered (I think), then got a giveaway not found message at the base of the blog post. Is this normal after a completed entry? If not, what happened?

I couldn’t see the widget when I looked at this blog post with Safari on my Mac. I had to switch over to Firefox to see it. I also checked it out with Safari on my iPad and it works there, so it looks like it’s just Safari for Mac that isn’t working. I’m guessing though, that this is due to some random Safari setting. Also, my hubs has various pop-up blockers set up on my Mac that I don’t really understand so maybe that’s the problem.

I liked it, fewer buttons to push than rafflecopter. Which is a good thing IMO. 🙂
