I cannot recommend this book highly enough. As far as historical romances go, it’s got a lot of everything good. The hero and heroine break stereotypes and are fully fleshed characters. There’s intrigue and eroticism aplenty. Just make sure you pace yourself and savor this one.

When You Wish Upon a Duke is a historical romance with Peter Pan references. Given that the heroine is named Isobel Tinker, I feared a whimsy overload. I’m super curious about this one because it seems to take the kidnapping trope and flip it; the heroine’s friends kidnap the hero and it seems the heroine has to smooth things over. If you want a lot of emotional angst in your romance, then Tempest is not for you. If you’re looking for an amazing heroine, a great backdrop and a lot of action, then definitely pick this up.
