Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: Surfboards in the Ceiling Beams

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO is from Elizabeth, who wants to find this romance:

The book is from late 1990s/early 2000s. Erotic fiction maybe? Or just kinda smutty.

The main character is a woman who owns a diner in a California town near the coast. I think she lives in the house her dad won in a poker game, designed by a famous architect (surf board in the ceiling beams?).

Main sex partner is the sheriff who used to be a cop in like LA or San Diego, shaved head. She hires a line cook and sleeps with him first.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Let’s HaBO!

I think it’s All U Can Eat by Emma Holly.

  2. Kat A says:

Could it be All U Can Eat by Emma Holly?

  3. Lara says:

I am 99% sure this is Emma Holly’s All U Can Eat. I don’t remember the surfboard. I remember the diner, the line cook–he was fresh out of the military and absolutely DTF–and the former cop/current sheriff.

  4. IASHM says:

Maybe All U Can Eat by Emma Holly? No idea if it fits with the surfboards, though, it’s been a long time since I read it.

  5. Elizabeth says:

Sounds like “All U Can Eat” by Emma Holly

Emma Holly, All U Can Eat?
She’s probably writes (or wrote?) pretty mild S&M for these days, but still fun reads with good female leads.

  7. Lara says:

I am almost certain this is Emma Holly’s “All U Can Eat”. I remember the diner, the line cook (who was fresh out of the military and absolutely DTF) and the local sheriff who used to be a cop. It also had an EH staple, two guys who insist that they’re NOT gay, but who fool around with each other constantly and are happy to bring a lady into the fooling for variety.

I’m going to call this solved by comment consensus!

  9. Lisa says:

It was an outrigger canoe oar hanging in her room, not a surfboard.

The Smart Bitches are AMAZING! Our memories for the books we read is phenomenal.
