The book was a romance where the heroine was blind and the hero was a werewolf.
The meet cute involved a car crash or an almost car crash. I think maybe she had a service dog and he saved her or saved the service dog.
I think she was also a teacher. There was definitely a subplot involving a troubled male student that the hero ended up bonding with. He would go see her/spend time with her sometimes in his wolf form and sometimes in his human form. He was protective of her. They were mates and something about the mate bond was giving her the ability to sense auras or something special like that.

Some of this sounds like one of psy-changeling books… but I don’t remember which one!
Maybe it’s a Patricia Briggs story? She has a short story called Seeing Eye in an anthology titled Shifting Shadows that sounds like this.
I think you are thinking of the Psy-CHangling short story with Annie, the teacher who was in the train wreck as a kid, but she wasn’t blind, and couldn’t see auras.
I do want to know what this book was, and read it myself.
I don’t think it’s the Briggs – she is a witch, not a teacher, and there is neither a dog nor a student. IIRC she does sees auras, though!
This has me wanting to reread Seeing Eye by Patricia Briggs; it is an excellent story even though it doesn’t quite fit the request.
