Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back! We are halfway through April!

My 33rd birthday was Monday (love me some April babies)! I had a wonderful day with a celebration that felt tailor-made. Yummy food, delicious cake, thoughtful texts and phone calls and gifts.

Any fellow April babes in the comments today?

Thank you all for the allergy tips, by the way! The sneezing hasn’t started just yet, but I have a few new things to try to combat the allergies this year. Fingers crossed one will work!

Big thank you to Elizabeth Spurlock for sending this link our way! You can support Ukrainian artists and pattern designers on Spoonflower. There are some truly beautiful prints in here.

Along the same crafting lines, here’s a wonderful blog post inspired by Elyse’s previous SBTB post on fandom and knitting. Have you completed or started any fandom-themed projects? We’d love to hear about them!

I have such a soft spot of nostalgia for Arizona Iced Teas and I enjoyed reading about their commitment to keeping their cans 99c.

Craving more romance adaptations? Here’s a sneak peek at Mr. Malcolm’s List.

Starting in May, Alyssa Cole is teaching a 4-week online, romance writing workshop! Tickets are $100, which doesn’t seem too bad for four classes in a month.

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

Someone from SBST recently wrote about scoring a non-resident library card the Brooklyn Public Library. Fifty dollars later, and I’m a very happy member for the next year. This morning, one day into my membership, I found out they had romance books in French [SQUEE!!!] and *many* other languages. Authors of e-books in French included Julia Quinn (Bridgerton in French!), Nora Roberts, and Kristin Higgins. While I already have cards with another four libraries in two countries, I have a feeling that BKL is going to the top of that list. The link is https://www.bklynlibrary.org/. Thank you bitchery!

Glad you had a happy birthday, Amanda!

  2. Stefka says:

Yay for a fabulous birthday celebration, Amanda! You deserve it. Mine was a week ago. 🙂

This is a great set of links- I don’t know how I missed development news of Mr. Malcom’s list, but I can’t wait to see it! I haven’t browsed Spoonflower in ages, so this Ukraine collection is timely. <3 And YES, I am here for all the crafting fandoms.

My week’s been brightened by this beautiful, graceful dance video: https://www.facebook.com/benjamin.isaacie/posts/10216220563418431

    Happy birthday!!

When I heard about Bridgerton my first thought was “what happened to Mr. Malcolm’s List?” because I’d watched the short on YouTube so many times and was hoping it would become a full show or movie. I can’t imagine that the Bridgerton creators were unaware of it. Not that you can’t have two regency dramas with inclusive casts at the same time of course. Anyway, I’m looking forward to it.

Very much looking forward to MR MALCOLM’S LIST!

I totally didn’t just buy myself a subscription box of hand dyed sock yarn inspired by Tessa Dare’s Spindle Cove series for my birthday from Spinning Tales Fiber. That would be silly since I crochet and have never knit a sock in my life. #sarcasm

Guess who’s learning to knit socks this summer?

May all your yarn crafts be without yarn barf!

@Vasha, thank you for posting that link to the dance. It’s beautiful and sensual, and made me very happy.

    Happy Birthday!

  9. Maureen says:

Happy Birthday Amanda! I hope you are enjoying your birthday week!

@Qualisign-I’m so glad you are enjoying your BPL membership! When I joined, I almost swooned at selection they had-truly the best deal out there.

    Happy Birthday, Amanda!!!

My Dad’s birthday was in April too. My mom and I used to tease him and ask if he bought us diamonds for his birthday. He would grumble then laugh at us.

I’m currently infatuated with the cartoons and drawings of Tom Gauld. “Common Mistakes by the Inexperienced Romance Writer” and many others can be found by Google image searching or on his site at TomGauld.com.

That was my birthday too. Hope you had a good day. In links, I am enjoying (and being frustrated by) Redactle, an online game inspired by Wordle, where one has to guess words in a Wikipedia article which has had most of the words redacted, with the ultimate aim of guessing the name of the article.
