Help A Bitch Out - SOLVED!

HaBO: She Publishes Erotic Stories Online

You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!

This HaBO is from Kathy, who is hoping to find this contemporary romance:

I read this book maybe two years ago. Modern day romance.

The heroine has a famous blog where she posts erotic short stories; however, her real name is not used in the blog. The hero is a huge fan of this blog.

Hero is a contractor for work. He lives in a condo with a balcony and he has seen a redhead woman (heroine) in the same building a few times but never talked. One day they spot each other, both on their respective balconies (they are the only people in the condo to use the balconies).

They become sex buddies, although the hero would like a relationship. He figures out that she is the writer of his favourite blog before she tells him.

This sounds very familiar!

I don’t *think* the details match up but maybe a Victoria Dahl?

This story sounds familiar! I remember reading something similar about someone moving in from America (I think to help mend a broken heart) and in the flat opposite was a guy that likes to exercise naked. I don’t know if she wrote steamy fiction on the web or not, I did not finish the book at the time, I was all burnt out from erotic romance (there was a glut after fifty shades). It’s probably not the same book but a similar storyline.

The closest after a quick search on Amazon was Butterfly in frost by Sylvia Day. I’m pretty sure the heroine has/had a medical career though and the hero was the broody sort who probably wouldn’t enjoy reading that stuff anyway! I didn’t finish the book as for some reason, Sylvia Day books don’t really work for me.

    Sorry! No help whatsoever!

    Hey thanks for posting!

@kkw: I took a look at her books online and I did find one where the female lead is a erotic writer. But she moves back to her town and the main lead is a cop so not the same book.

@Kit: Thanks anyway, I’ll keep that rec in mind though!

As in the above comment, not all the details match up, but Molly O’Keefe’s THE COWBOY features a hero & heroine who indulge in shared porch/patio sex (they can’t see each other’s faces) before they actually meet. I think the hero is doing some sort of construction/building work, but I don’t remember the online erotica element.

Okay I found it after digging through pages of my library’s overdrive catalog!! It is Tease Me by Tracy Wolff.

    Thanks everyone!!

I definitely read this, but I’m hopeless at remembering titles. Can’t wait to see the answer though!

  7. Carrie G says:

One of the fun things about the HaBO posts is reading all the books that might be but aren’t the title sought. If one likes the trope, this is like a mini rec league! Plus, for some of the wilder tropes, it’s wild to see how many other similar crazysauce books are out there. 🙂

    Anyway,this one looks interesting!
