Links: Look at This Stuff, Isn’t It Neat?

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome to Wednesday Links! It is Wednesday, right?

RIGHT?!

Checking my Google Calendar each morning to assess site stuff is really the only way I know what day it is.

But hey, even if it’s not Wednesday, you’re still getting a links post. Things could be worse.

If you’re like me and want to relive your childhood, the first three seasons of Sailor Moon are being uploaded to YouTube on a weekly basis!

There may not be a Met Gala this year, but that didn’t stop people from showcasing Met Gala fashions from home.

Jaime French, who is a hilarious beauty YouTuber, nearly made me pee my pants with this video.

I also recommend this one!

I was not aware of this story:

You can tour the Ghibli Museum via YouTube!

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

What’s hilarious, re: Prince Frederick of Denmark and Mary of Australia, is that THE WHOLE THING HAPPENED IN FICTION ALSO (the Julia Stiles classic, “The Prince and Me,” where the prince is literally from Denmark). They met in 2000 and got engaged in 2003, movie was released in April ‘04. It just boggles my mind that they actually made him from Denmark in the movie. Was there a Danish lawsuit? So many questions.

The video of the Try Guys recreating Met Gala costumes is funny and I was surprised at how well they did at the challenge! All the costumes were creative and resourceful, and while it’s unsurprising that Eugene’s turned out great, Ned also wound up looking gorgeous.

I also only know what day it is because of my calendar… I check my phone/computer a little obsessively now. Not that there was a recent incident in which I thought it was Sunday but actually Friday or anything… No. Just best practices to keep up with one’s schedule…

The tiny makeup video is terrifying me LOL

Also see: Karina Halle’s A NORDIC KING where the King of Denmark (an alternative-universe Denmark, Halle is at pains to point out), a widower raising two young daughters, falls for the girls’ Australian nanny. I loved the book, one of my favorite reads of 2019, full of angsty melancholy and lots of secrets (in other words, all my catnips).

Sadly, I think the Sailor Moon episodes are only being made available on YouTube in Japan? They are available on Tubi in North America, though!

There’s a new Sweet Home Alabama romantic comedy novel. The authors and two of the actors from the movie – Sheriff Wade and Clinton – did a live launch party that is on YouTube now: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_8ZlPohypU

I don’t think I’ve seen that 10 second video of Dame Judi Dench reminding us all to laugh in the Bitchery. (Let’s see if I’ve learnt to embed links. If not, delete post)
    or here .

There was a delightfully cheesy Australian TV movie about Princess Mary a few years ago. Not gonna lie, I enjoyed the heck out of it.
