Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Welcome back to Wednesday Links! I am currently in a state of delirium after going out with some fellow booksellers and then having to be back at the bookstore bright and early for an inventory count.

I am a master at making good decisions!

SBTB HQ is very interested in this new video game. You might be interested too if you enjoyed our latest Stuff We Like!

Several romances authors are releasing an anthology to raise money for Australia. It contains over thirty romances that haven’t been published previously

The Romance for PR auction is still going on! Bid while you can!

Here is a definitive ranking of snacking crackers. I have very strong opinions about this list and I would die for a buttery Ritz.

Enjoy this bizarre comedy of errors via online shopping!

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

That Anthropologie saga made me guffaw and I really need it today.

  2. Ren Benton says:

My diet for the past month has been 90% cracker based, so I can say from experience those Carr’s water crackers (even the ones with sesame seeds) make cheese taste depressed. Even the humble saltine is vastly superior in taste and texture. HOWEVER, Carr’s rosemary crackers have buttery crispness similar to the beloved Ritz, but larger and with extra flavor. Good plain, with goat cheese, and with spready garlic herb “cheese.” I’ll be keeping those in the pantry if this No Energy to Prepare/Eat Real Food kick ever ends.

@Ren Benton, When I used to buy the Pepperidge Farm cracker selection more often, the sleeve of water crackers were only ever used as stomach prep for taking ibuprofen late at night during massive cramps.

My husband, who I’ve been with for 26 years, just figured out that I won’t let Ritz crackers in the house not because I dislike them but because I will eat them ALL. Same with Cheez-Its. Which is why I’m very excited to try this recipe https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/apple-crumble-bars

No love for Ak-Mak whole wheat crackers? Not exactly great for a cheese pairing, but so good with hummus!

  6. Kareni says:

I’ll join you for some Ak-Mak crackers, @DDD. I like them with hummus and also with gouda and brie and….

  7. Susan says:

I was ready to write off the entire cracker rating post for not including Rye Triscuits*, but it was redeemed at the very end by the inclusion of Mary’s Gone Crackers (although I prefer Super Seed Everything and Super Seed Basil and Garlic). I really prefer crackers over cookies any day.

*I may have gotten a little vocal with the staff at Safeway about never letting the shelf get empty again.

    Also, the Anthropologie saga–LOL.

  8. Caroline says:

Great tips! Just sent my sons the Coffee Talk link as it looks clever and chill. Checking out the Australia anthology to support a critical cause. Shopping thread was fun to follow! The world of crackers is expanding-I like the originals, as well as some of the newer flavors in the market. And items like Lentil Chips as crunchy snack alternatives.

  9. denise says:

Can’t believe Anthropolgie was threatening to ban her when it was their mistake. She legally didn’t have to return the items.
