HaBO: Domme Runs a Tea Shop

This HaBO request is from Mari Alice. Content warning for the description below:

I’ve tried Bookfinder, but it doesn’t help.

I’m looking for a book with a Domme with a tea shop that falls for an alpha. She gives birthday parties to little girls in the tea shop. The shop has a garden behind it that the two of them “visit.”

She, also, had a brother that committed suicide off a building and she fell with him but survived.

Thanks!

Now, I love Dommes in romance and I want more of them. However, so many of the Domme heroines I’ve read lose their Domme-ness for the hero. So I’m super interested to see this identified and read how it all shakes out.

I feel like it’s been forever since I read this one. Aside from this series I would recommend her stand-alone Make Her Dreams Come True. The whole thing takes place in a mall and was fantastic.

I finally new a HABO, but was too late – great book, and wonderful series

I need to correct something in the description and pass on a trigger warning. The brother’s death wasn’t exactly suicide, but any explanation would involve a number of spoilers.
Mirror of My Soul and Ice Queen were originally published by Ellora’s Cave. Ice Queen was rated as “X for xtreme” (“contains controversial subject matter not for the faint of heart”) because some of the heroine’s actions push very hard at tolerable behavior even for intense BDSM situations. She’s dealing with some serious trigger issues in her background which come to light in Mirror of my Soul. Mirror received a lower rating, but an ad included the following reader advisory: “This intense book deals with myriad psychological issues including incest and violence toward women and children. Contains a scene of females exploring their sexuality together.”
Those warnings being noted, these books are keepers for me and Hill is a must-read author.

This sounds like my dream book! Off to check out Ice Queen…
