I feel like we’re past due for a giveaway, don’t you think?
For the next six days, we’ll be running a giveaway for two (2) Nokia watches! We’ve done a couple Nokia giveaways previously and they’ve been a huge hit. For this giveaway, we have the Steel HR Watch and the Steel Watch up for grabs.
Sarah: I really like doing giveaways for Nokia watches because they’re gorgeous and more importantly I love mine. I got it a little over two years ago and it’s terrific and definitely inspires me to keep moving. I know what time it is (which I NEVER know on my own without looking 35x an hour) and I know about how far I have to go to reach my step goal.
I appreciate the simplicity of the layout, and how the look of the watch can be changed with a different colored band. I wasn’t really ever a watch person, but I really dig this one, and I’m so excited to share two with all of you.

Ok, well my absolute, all-time favorite wellness activity is cuddling with my cats. Don’t laugh- mental wellness rates high for me. However, if you insist on an actual physical activity, then walking it is. Not too choosy as to place, though my preferred locations feature water and flowers.
Walking… preferably with a music player on low so I can hear the “real world” beyond the music player.
My favorite wellness activity is walking my dog before bed during the week and early Saturday morning . We both restore our equilibrium in the quieter hours.
Swim for the win!
I like going on long walks and listening to audiobooks
I love indoor exercise videos by accessible instructors like Jenny Ford or Jessica Smith who are encouraging but also offer alternatives for various fitness levels.
Taking a half hour break from work to go for a walk. This is most effective when I don’t use the time to walk to Starbucks or my local bakery
My favorite form of exercise is walking with my rescue dog, Brando. And it is actually the one year anniversary of the day I got him today!
I do gardening. It doesn’t burn off a lot of calories, because I only have a bunch of containers outside, so there’s no mowing or digging involved. But I like weeding and watering the plants.
My favorite is walking and listening to a podcast or book tape or swimming and listening to music via my iPod waterproofed shuffle. .
I work out at the gym almost every day–my time on the treadmill is pretty much the only time I get to read!!
It’s definitely yoga. Non-competitive, mindful and your body feels well used instead of abused.
Yoga with my six year old. She has a Yogarilla deck of cards and loves to pick out the poses we’ll do.
I do dumbbell & bodyweight exercises at home in the mornings. I try to do at least 3 days a week, but some days are harder than others to fit it in! I also like to walk or hike & I do yoga stretches on the mornings I don’t do weights.
I’m learning that a number of different activities can help ground me, as long as I do them with the conscious intent and awareness of self-care. That said, my best mind clearing activity is a good trail run.
Hanging with my dogs. They keep me active, even when I don’t want to be!
I love to walk in the woods. Or anyplace beautiful. Looking forward to walking lots in Iceland this summer.
Judo! The activity and the people are very grounding for me (even when I’m getting thrown through the air).
My spin classes allow me to rage it out, give me energy and clear my head. I feel off when I skip it.
I like the elliptical.
Physically it is going to the gym and getting some exercise (usually treadmill). Mentally it is alone time at the end of the day. Laying in bed to read or Netflix gives me much needed me time.
Ohhh, I’ve wanted one of these since your last giveaway! Physical wellness? Housecleaning! Mental wellness? READING!
My favorite wellness activity is long walk. I live in the middle of a park, so it’s really gorgeous. My favorite mental wellness activity is to curl up work a good book or show. I’m looking into getting into the fitness watch game, so, fingers crossed!
Laying on the pool float, flipping pages, tbh.
But I like walking my beagle and doing workout videos in my living room for actual physical health benefits…
I love going for a walk around the neighborhood to decompress when I get home from work.
I work out by doing videos at home. If I’m having a bad day, I always feel better after kickboxing!
I lift weights at the gym.
My favorite wellness activity is visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The beautiful scenery at any time of year restore my soul.
Long bike rides. (Ideally punctuated with a stop halfway through for wine and cheese.) Early morning dog walks and then reading quietly while the dog and partner sleep in.
On nice days i like to run in the park behind my apartment and follow it up with some yoga at home.
I’ve started walking to anything on my long block instead of driving. Sure, it takes 10 minutes to get to Sbux and 20 to the grocery store, but it’s also a nice activity
I’m so glad I found yoga because I’m not really an exercise type of girl. But my office is running our second health bet (everyone puts in money, and you only get it back if you make your goal), and I’m adding cardio, which I need but hate. Let’s just say it’s incredibly motivating to not want your co-workers to get your hard-earned cash!
I love to do any group fitness activity! It’s always more fun for me. 🙂
Running. Running away from my feelings, both literally and figuratively, is my key to mental health, if health is the word I’m looking for.
I also do weights and yoga and walk a ton and just generally fidget away pesky residual feelings.
I love going for long walks with my mom. We have reached the point where we’re friends as well as mother and daughter, and walking and talking with her makes me look forward to having the same relationship with my kids when they’re adults. Plus, the fact that she is in such great shape in her mid-sixties inspires me to stay active so I can age she as well as she has!
My favourite wellness activity is dancing.
I volunteer at the Zoo and love viewing and telling folks about the animals, the Zoo’s efforts to save species and enjoying the absolutely beautiful plantings–something new in bloom every time!
I am bad about being consistent, but this year I got into yoga for stress relief at my university. It’s hard to stick with it when school’s not in session, though…
I like walking my corgis and baby in the sunshine. I also really enjoy hot yoga, I just don’t enjoy the 6am start time.
Running and yoga!
