What really made me enjoy Meet the Newmans was how rich it was: rich in historical detail, rich in personal growth, rich in introspection without being naval gaze-y. I think it would be an excellent pick for a book club due to how much there is to discuss about its themes, setting and characters.

If you’re looking for a book that has tender love at its core set in a good mystery with lashings of feminism in Victorian England, then this book will more than surpass your expectations.
The Muse of Maiden Lane by Mimi Matthews is $1.99 and a KDD! This is book four in The Belles of London series. I don’t think we’ve featured this one on sale before, but the series is highly recommended.

If you’re looking for a Victorian historical with a heroine who is brave despite herself, in a book that won’t rip your heart out or drag you through rivers of angst and misery, then I think you’ll enjoy this romance.
