Will They or Won’t They by Ava Wilder is $1.99! This is an enemies to lovers story with two actors who play love interests on-screen. Wilder’s debut How to Fake It in Hollywood had a lot of recommendations on the site, but I think this one isn’t as beloved.
Portrait of a Thief by Grace D. Li is $4.99! As I was putting today’s sale list together with a focus on mysteries, I realized all of these have been mention in my Get Rec’d posts. However, I’d describe this one as more fiction with some heisty, Ocean’s Eleven undertones.
One for the Rogue by Charis Michaels is $1.99! This is book three in the Bachelor Lords of London historical romance series. The heroine has become a dowager duchess in her early twenties and the hero is in need of decorum lessons.
The Fiancée Farce by Alexandra Bellefleur is $1.99! This is a fake relationship romance with two women who are tied to the book world. One has a bookshop and the other is from a publishing dynasty.
Welcome back to another edition of Get Rec’d! Definitely have a focus of fantasy this time. However, there is some variety here. I have a graphic novel, a mystery, and more. Sometimes I have a better mix of genres and other times, I consult my notes and the last four books I jotted down are all within the same genre. Have any of you gotten some good book recs since the last Get Rec’d? Share … Continue reading Get Rec’d with Amanda – Volume 39→
The Raven Spell by Luanne G. Smith is $1.99 at Amazon! This is book one in a series that seems to combine fantasy, mystery, and historical settings. It’s been on my TBR pile since it came out earlier this year.
The Most Beautiful Girl in Cuba by Chanel Cleeton is $1.99! I’m hoping this sale stays up and isn’t a leftover from yesterday. This one was mentioned in a Hide Your Wallet from last spring. Cleeton’s historical fictions have been recommended a few times on the site.
RECOMMENDED: Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn is $3.99! If you were curious, this was our most sold book this year! Aarya gave this one an A:
Love Lettering is a special book that I’ll hold close to my heart for a long time. It’s a quiet romance with quiet protagonists, but sometimes it’s the quiet moments that echo the loudest.
Even though at first I found this book to be slow going, I came to appreciate it for its intersectional feminism and its unabashed adoration of all the science and math that goes into making space flight possible.
PODCAST RECOMMENDED: Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin is $3.99! This was recently recommended on our podcast episode with Sarah J. Maas and it definitely seems of interest to romance readers. It’s a YA fantasy with a marriage of convenience between a secret witch and a witch hunter.
The Real Deal by Lauren Blakely is $2.99! This is a contemporary romance with a fake relationship and forced proximity. Readers say this does a great job blending humor and romance, while others wanted a more emotional payoff. Have you read this one?
