If You Dare by Kresley Cole is $1.99! This is the first book in the MacCarrick Brothers series. Readers might be more familiar with Cole’s paranormal romances, but she started with writing historical romances. Cole typically writes Alpha heroes and this book is no exception. It has a 3.9-star rating on Goodreads.
RECOMMENDED: Space Opera by Catherynne M. Valente is $1.99! Carrie gave this one an A-:
I loved the book and would gleefully quote it all day. It made me feel happy and bubbly. It celebrated art of all kinds, even (possibly especially) shitty art. It made me feel hopeful and it made me laugh, and I love the message with which it begins and ends.
A Prince on Paper by Alyssa Cole is $1.99! This is the third book in Cole’s Reluctant Royals series. I’d say it can be read as a standalone, but characters from previous books definitely play a role. Elyse gave this one a B:
A Prince on Paper was a fun, fairytale romance, but it needed more resolution to totally satisfy me.
Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey is 99c at Amazon and $2.99 elsewhere! This is a standalone contemporary romance and one that I’m excited about because I absolutely love Charleston, SC. Some readers were conflicted about the fact that the hero was indeed ready to marry his fiance before everything went tits up. But I also recommend Bailey for people who love hot sex scenes and dirty talking.
