I don’t think I fund any new creators this year? This year sucked donkey balls, and I did mostly comfort re-reads. Anne Bishop, Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs. Tried and true loves!!
A Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna was absolutely delightful.
Reading Glasses podcast
One of my favorite book this year was This Time Tomorrow by Emma Straub that I really enjoyed and shed some tears by the end.
Martha Wells , Andrzej Sapkowski in translation (The Witcher books, so much better than I expected, at least so far), Megan Turner Whalen ..
For me, Talia Hibbert! I read my first novel of hers this year
I discovered Emma Barry, Lauren Asher, Natalie Cana, Lily Gold, and Clio Evans this year. Thank you for this opportunity. Happy Hanukkah!
Perhaps everyone else can also say this, but I discovered RF Kuang through her novel Babel, and it was one of my favorite novels of the year.
I’ve been enjoying Juliette Cross!
Nirali Paints! She makes beautiful crafts with paper and paint and it’s so inspiring!!
This year I discovered Kimberly Lemming. I’m reading the Mead Mishaps series now!
I discovered Mur Lafferty this year. I am really looking forward to diving into Chaos Terminal!
Kate Bateman, and so many other historical romance authors.
New to me this year include Travis Baldree, Jasper Fforde, Heather Fawcett, Jesse Q Sutanto, Cathy Yardley, Vanessa Riley, Mia Manansala, Talia Hibbert and Kate Khavari. My favorite was probably Heather Fawcett’s Emily Wilde’s Encyclopedia of Faeries.
Some new authors I discovered this year: Becky Chambers, Jenny Colgan, Alix E. Harrow, Gabrielle Zevin. Happy Chanukah! Thanks for the opportunity!
