Links: Pandas, Michael B. Jordan, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses. It’s February! Some of us have already been hit with some snow (it wasn’t as bad as predicted) and we’re making the crawl to Valentine’s Day. I treated myself to some fancy chocolate because I damn well can.

So far, my February has started with me being so damn tired. Anyone else out there just tired? It’s a whole mix of season depression, lots of work, and this damn pandemic.

If you missed it, here are some adorable animals, especially pandas, enjoying the snow at the Smithsonian Zoo!

I was recently asked by Rachel Kramer Bussel in Forbes about which romance I’d recommend from the past year and which I’m super excited for! Rachel collected a great group of readers and their selections are all wonderful. Be warned that there’s a paywall once you hit the article limit.

Michael B. Jordan is the new Alexa in an upcoming Big Game ad. I thought it was pretty great.

I loved the amazement and pride this son had at showing off his parents’ miniature house project. As someone getting into minis, I’m definitely taking notes.

In case you missed it, Sarah and I are starting something new on Tuesday nights! We had our first show yesterday and it was so much fun interacting with listeners in real time. Hope you’ll join us in the future!

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

I was not prepared for that ad. I’m kinda speechless really and I don’t want to say anymore.

  2. Darlynne says:

I may have watched the ad a few/more/endless times. Not making this up, my husband kept talking every time I played it, making noise while I was trying to listen. That’s my story.

Amanda, all the links are great. Pandas for Emotional Support Animals is a thing and now I’m off to watch an episode of Too Cute.

  3. LML says:

@Darlynne, I have such affection for Too Cute. I would catch flashes of it when I visited my sister, then I thought to look for it on Youtube. It is a favorite way to end my day.

  4. chacha1 says:

Oh wow how much did I love that ad.

  5. Maureen says:

Yesterday my husband saw the ad on a Youtube channel, and called me in to watch, so funny. I remember Michael B. Jordan from Friday Night Lights, he was so good in that.

The Rec League for reincarnated soul mates reminded me of this gorgeous Chinese sapphic lipstick ad:

(Someone in the replies names the brand if you’re salivating over the packaging.)

@Maureen, I’m slowly working my way through FNL and when Michael B. Jordan appears, I was like, “Is that…?!” Such a good actor. Those seasons also has Alicia Witt who is my fave holiday Hallmark movie regular 🙂

  8. Shelly says:

I just forwarded that ad to 6 girlfriends. Thank you.
