London’s Wicked Affair
London’s Wicked Affair by Anabelle Bryant is 99c! This is the first book in the Midnight Secrets series. It features an off-limits romance and yes, a duke. Readers seem torn on the heroine. Some love her forward-thinking nature, while others wished she were a bit more responsible.
In Anabelle Bryant’s wickedly romantic new series, secrets and seduction go hand in hand . . .
Lunden Beckford, Duke of Scarsdale, has chosen to exile himself far from London, with its painful memories and cruel gossip. Forced back to town on business, he’s eager to make his stay as brief as possible. But first, he must honor his promise to find a suitable husband for his friend’s little sister. On one hand, Amelia Strathmore has grown into a stunning, statuesque beauty. On the other, the willful chit is more likely to scandalize a drawing room with her outspoken opinions than blush prettily. At least she agrees to accept his help—if he fulfills
certain conditions . . .Though duty-bound to marry, Amelia longs to secretly enjoy some of life’s freedoms first. In this, as in many things, Lunden proves an excellent guide. In fact, Amelia’s girlhood admiration for her brother’s friend is fast becoming something far less innocent. Lunden believes he’s known too much darkness to offer any woman happiness. Yet Amelia is starting to see how much pleasure can lie within the right partnership—especially if one is willing to be a little wicked . . .

Lord of Night
Lord of Night by Erica Ridley is $2.99 at most vendors! This is the third book in the Rogues to Riches series, but can be read as a standalone. Major catnip alert: the heroine is dons a disguise and acts as a Robin Hood-type figure. Readers warn that the book requires some suspension of disbelief, but that it’s a lot of fun.
Unlike proper debutantes, Miss Dahlia Grenville is secretly Robin Hood in a bonnet. Her home for wayward girls has too many dependents and not enough donations. But just as she’s about to pull off the heist of the Season, she tumbles straight into the arms of the handsome detective who has sworn to deliver Mayfair’s mysterious thief straight to the gallows.
Highly principled Bow Street runner Simon Spaulding’s world is black and white. There’s no mastermind too clever, no criminal alive who can escape the hangman. Until he realizes the delightful young lady he’s been courting is a liar and a thief. Suddenly, his career—and his heart—are in peril. How can he bring her to justice when it means losing her forever?
In the Rogues to Riches historical romance series, sigh-worthy Regency rogues sweep strong-willed young ladies into whirlwind romance with rollicking adventure.

The Companion’s Secret
The Companion’s Secret by Susanna Craig is 99c! This is the first book in the Rogues and Rebels series. If you like historical detail and romances that incorporate real events, readers say this book is for you. However, some of the character relationships could have been detailed a bit more.
In this tempestuous new series, rebellious hearts prove hard to tame—but can England’s most dangerous rake be captured by a wild Irish rose?
They call him Lord Ash, for his desires burn hot and leave devastation in their wake. But Gabriel Finch, Marquess of Ashborough, knows the fortune he’s made at the card table won’t be enough to save his family estate. For that he needs a bride with a sterling reputation to distract from his tarnished past, a woman who’ll be proof against the fires of his dark passion. Fate deals him the perfect lady. So why can’t Gabriel keep his eyes from wandering to her outspoken, infuriatingly independent Irish cousin?
Camellia Burke came to London as her aunt’s companion, and she’s brought a secret with her: she’s written a scandalous novel. I really enjoyed Lord of Night and, yes, suspension of disbelief is required. In a good way but Erica Ridley is an auto-buy for me.
One-clicked The Companion’s Secret last night and can tell it will be a nice distraction from the relentless cold I am fighting. The heroine is secretly writing a novel!
