Links: Getting in the Spooky Spirit

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses. It’s Halloween, witches! We bet your costumes are great. Enjoy some spooky movies. Munch on some candy. Party responsibly. If you’re not celebrating in any way, shape, or form, we still hope you have some goodies to snack on for the night.

Prefer to start a series once all the books are out? Frolic Media has a swell list of paranormal romance series for binging! What other finished PNR series would you recommend?

If you prefer your monsters on the cute versus creepy side, please read through this Twitter thread of a daughter surprising her mom with a trip to the Sesame Street set.

For those who love horror films, here’s a short list of Asian horror movies with awesome female leads! I’m going to bookmark and cross-reference all of my streaming accounts!

Every year, Jezebel puts out a call for real life, creepy stories. Read through their selection for 2018. Some of them are all right, though I will never get over the one with actual dead bodies.

And, to end on a less creepy note, enjoy this Twitter thread of knock-off Halloween costume names. I’m a fan of “Supportive Burger Wife.”

Don’t forget to share what super cool things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

  1. Hey Smart Bitches! Sarah MacLean and I are hosting a new podcast about Kresley Cole’s Immortals After Dark series! We just released our first episode today, and then it will be a read-along where we talk about one book every other week. On the off weeks, we’ll have shorter “what we’re reading” episodes.

Check it out, subscribe, and we’d love to hear your feedback!

I went to work as Kate Daniels, sword, baby lion in a backpack and all her accouterments. Only one person had any idea who I was, but I had fun threatening to kick ass all day. It was fantastic! Halloween in my neighborhood is phenomenal, houses are decorated to the max and the trick or treaters come in hordes. My witch costume is very Hollywood scary and I set the doorbell to make monster noises. Happy Halloween!

Frolic Media is a keeper. I would love to find a site that shows completed series of all genres. And ideas??
