I don’t usually read small town contemporaries and didn’t realize this was considered one. I just loved the idea of a scientist heroine, disabled hero and main characters who are POC.
I haven’t read this series yet. Contemporary small town books I enjoy are the Virgin River and Thunder Point series by Robyn Carr, the McCarthys of Gansett Island series by Marie Force, Shannon Stacey’s Kowalskis… And some Victoria Dahl trilogies are small town (though scorching hot small town…). Marion Lennox’s Banksia Bay series is wonderful—with rescue dogs! <3!
There is nothing I do’t love about the idea of this novella. I can’t wait to see how everything is handled in such a short space.

I haven’t read any of the books in this series, but I’ve had this particular book on my wishlist for months. I liked the first few books in the Kowalski series.
Sounds like a great story. I hate it when easily resolvable issues are blown out of proportions just to create conflict, so this is definitely something I would like to read.
The last romance I read was less than stellar, although I must say I can only blame myself for continuing to read after I discovered I was basically reading a Barbara Cartland older man-younger woman plot transferred to the 1980s.
Looking forward to this contemporary! It’s been a while and I’m ready to put the corsets and petticoats aside!

This book sounds amazing. I don’t normally enjoy novellas, because most are either not emotionally satisfying (for me as the reader) or they are a cliffhanger (which makes me crazy). I would have missed out.

I’ve read many of the usual suspects in small town romance, from Jill Shalvis to Susan Mallery to Shannon Stacey to Robyn Carr, etc. Sometime they frustrate me because I feel like the issues could easily be solved with some frank, mature, adult, communication, but it sounds like this novella doesn’t suffer from that issue!
Haven’t read any books in this series and I usually steer clear of small-town romances (especially those that demonize cities and anyone who wants to live there), but this sounds too good to pass up.

I haven’t read this author before, but the review has sold me on this book. My favorite small town contemporary series is probably the Fool’s Gold series by Susan Mallery. I really enjoy small-town romance series in general because you see favorite couples drift in and out of the new books, and you often have some great background characters in the town.
