This book is a wonderful story even if the reader doesn’t get the Lovecraft references. With them, it’s marvelously subversive as well as poetic and entertaining. I loved this book because of the wonderful, elegant language and the evocative lands through which Vellitt travels. I also loved it because it’s rare to find a story in which an older woman goes on adventures.
When a Marquis Chooses a Bride by Ella Quinn is 99c! This is the second book in The Worthingtons series and features an opposites attract romance. This is an American historical and readers say that Huguley captures the setting really well, as well as the emotions of her characters. There are some Inspirational aspects to the book, so keep that in mind.
