Will They or Won’t They by Ava Wilder is $4.99! This is an enemies to lovers story with two actors who play love interests on-screen. Wilder’s debut How to Fake It in Hollywood had a lot of recommendations on the site, but I think this one isn’t as beloved.

Love Me Do by Lindsey Kelk is $1.99! This is a Cyrano retelling set in Hollywood. And yes, the song has been stuck in my head since I made this post.

On a Night Like This by Lindsey Kelk is 99c! This is a contemporary romance (or perhaps chick lit?) and I believe was mentioned on a previous Hide Your Wallet. Elyse has read a few of Kelk’s books and really enjoyed them.

If you’re new to Hide Your Wallet, this is where we list new releases we’re pretty excited for in the coming month. Each reviewer has a book maximum (five per person), and we’ve separated HYW into two parts. The first HYW of the month will cover books that release from the 1st to the 14th. The second HYW will cover books released from the 15th to the end of the month. We also think this … Continue reading January 2022 New Releases, Part Two →
RECOMMENDED: Silver in the Wood by Emily Tesh is $2.99! Catherine loved this one and gave it a squee grade:

Back in the early aughts I worked in a family-owned bookstore where, during slow periods, I would pretend to dust but really sneak-read chick lit (unless you’re reading this, Peggy, then I was totally dusting). My favorite authors were Sophie Kinsella, Jennifer Weiner and Helen Fielding. One in a Million by Lindsey Kelk made me nostalgic for those books while blending in enough romance that it certainly qualifies as a romance novel. Set in London, this novel … Continue reading One in a Million by Lindsey Kelk →
Just One of the Guys by Kristan Higgins is $1.99! This is a friends-to-lovers contemporary romance and was recommended in the comments of a friends-to-lovers trope post. Many readers loved the dialogue, but found the ending and HEA happened rather too quickly. If you happen to like Higgins’ writing, a few of her other books are also on sale!

Sizzling Sixteen by Janet Evanovich is $2.99. This is the sixteenth (wow!) book in the Stephanie Plum series. Jersey Girl, Stephanie Plum, is up to her usual bounty hunting shenanigans, with the usual cast of characters, though some readers thought the series is too much like the Energizer Bunny – it just keeps going and going and going.
