Welcome back and happy Tuesday! Just a handful of books on our radar this week, but there are busier weeks ahead this month. Which new releases are you excited for this week? Let us know in the comments!
We’re only a few weeks into 2026 (?!!) and I’m curious about the books you’re most looking forward to that are releasing between January 1 and June 30, 2026. There are MANY on our lists, and I limited folks to only a few – which means I know you have titles to suggest, too. One that I couldn’t format for our database: Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire, Vol. 3 by Priest, translated by Yog and SassyStrawberry. … Continue reading What are Your Most Anticipated Books The First Half of 2026? →
RECOMMENDED: Don’t Want You Like a Best Friend by Emma R. Alban is $1.99 and a Kindle Daily Deal! Carrie read this and gave it an A:

RECOMMENDED: Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Rayborn is $1.99! I don’t think this one has been on sale on the site before and we don’t have a review, but Sarah did some squeeing on a podcast episode.

RECOMMENDED: A Perilous Undertaking by Deanna Raybourn is $2.99 as a KDD today! This is book two in the Veronica Speedwell series and I LOVE THIS SERIES. I’ve listened to it one after the other. I reviewed this one and gave it a B, and wrote, “the series is a sizable amount of fun if you like historical mysteries, fearless and intelligent heroines who take negative-zero crap from anyone, characters who embrace sarcasm, adventure and nefarious plotting, and taciturn but brilliant heroes with simmering sexual tension.”

The short version of this review is, if you like this series (as I do – I like it a LOT) you’ll really enjoy this latest installment. The mystery is sharp and poignant, there are myriad historical details folded in, the relationships between the characters continue to grow and mature, and Veronica is as sarcastic as ever. Longer (slightly) version: I was extremely happy that I received an advanced audio copy of this book, because … Continue reading A Grave Robbery by Deanna Raybourn →
