The WREXFORD AND SLOAN series by Andrea Penrose
The Widow of Rose House by Diana Biller.
Pretty sure I’ve discovered a bunch of my favorite authors through SBTB—KJ Charles, Cat Sebastian, T. Kingfisher, and Jennifer Ashley among them.
Lucy Parker’s “Battle Royal.” You’ve loved her from the start–I’m just late to the game! Thanks for the opportunity at a giveaway.
You guys kept recommending Gideon the Ninth so I got it and it was wonderful.
Too many! But most notably Lady Sherlock books by Sherry Thomas!!
I dislike shifter books but you introduced me to Shelly Laurenston’s Call of Crows books which I reread every few years!
Ilona Andrews’ Innkeeper series. I already loved her Kate Daniels books but I hadn’t taken the plunge on Innkeeper. I read some comments about them here when they were on sale, and I took the plunge. I haven’t regretted it.
Nalini Singh – I started reading her first Archangel book after reading about her books on this site 🙂
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels, by India Holton!
“The Flatmate” by Beth O’Leary. It’s now my go-to for a comfort read.
Definitely the Immortals After Dark series. There was a sale price for Lothaire a few months ago and the ensuing discussion made me buy it only to discover that it was a whole series and I should start at book 1.
I have found SO MANY new authors here, it’s hard to choose. Some of my auto-buys came from here: Anne Bishop’s Others and Black Jewels, Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter and Psy Changeling. Talia Hibbert, Helen Hoang, Diana Biller. SO MANY!
So so many but the one that stands out is A Deadly Education by Naomi Novik.
The Brothers Sinister series by Courtney Milan
A Kiss at Midnight by Eloisa James.
too many to remember specifics!!!
Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik and it was super excellent.
Act Like It by Lucy Parker. Close tie with the Hating Game by Sally Thorne.
A little random, but the Lumberjanes series! I love it so, so much. I got my kids into it and they love it too. I cried reading the last one! Mal, Molly, Jo, April, Ripley, and Jen forever!
Many thanks to the B*tchery in general, and to @DiscoDollyDeb for her many fine and articulate recommendations, especially for Kati Wilde, whose books remain on my reread shelf!
Act like it by Lucy Parker, probably my all time favourite romance
Most recent is Devil in Disguise by Lisa Kleypas
This is so hard to choose just one but Laurenston’s Badger books. I never would have tried them if I hadn’t read reviews here. Now they’re some of my favorite popcorn books.
If it hadn’t been for SBTB I never would have discovered Courtney Milan’s books and they have given me so much joy over the years, so thank you for that. My fave is probably The Heiress Effect because I love Jane and Oliver but also the many brilliant female side characters so much. Happy Hanuhhah!
The Murderbot Diaries.
Act Like It, Lucy Parker
The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, Mariana Zapata
The Kiss Quotient and The Bride Test, Helen Hoang
The Worst Best Man, Mia Sosa
The Wedding Date, Jasmine Guillory
Jennifer Ashley’s Kat Halloway series
You have introduced me to so many amazing writers – romance and otherwise – but my very favorite is Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. Thank you for being my favorite place on the internet!
Helen Hoang’s The Kiss Quotient and subsequent books! I was on the fence about reading it until I read something about it here. So glad I read them!
Yes thank you Smart Bitches for introducing me to Loretta Chase and Lord of Scoundrels ! I love that book !
Happy Hanukkah!
I’m halfway through Cate C. Wells’s THE TYRANT ALPHA’S REJECTED MATE which is the most recent excellent book I’ve learned of here. There are many more!
I would never have tried Murderbot if it hadn’t been for your recommendation. I love that series so much, and have hooked some family members on it as well! Thank you all for your work to make this a place that brings so many of us joy. Happy Hanukkah!
Finding out about Courtney Milan and Rebekah Witherspoon on here really changed the game for me.
I love time travel and Beautiful Wreck came into my life through SBTB!
That color is GORGEOUS!! I’ve discovered so many good reads and great authors over the years here but the first one that popped into my mind was ‘Act Like It’ by Lucy Parker.
I learned about Cat Rambo’s You Sexy Thing from this site. A great comfort read and I loved the sections on food and cooking.
In the past year, it has to be Murderbot but, for all time?, my favourite find is “Act Like It” by Lucy Parker.
I’m pretty sure I heard about The Flatshare here. I know I read the review and that prompted me to read it.
Most of my all time favorite books are ones I read about here first–Murderbot, Act Like It by Lucy Parker, Him by Sarina Bowen, Check, Please by Ngozi Ukazu. I could go on by I’m sure you get the idea. Might never have discovered these books if it wasn’t for SBTB.
