Links: Board Games, Photography, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses.Hey hey! It’s Wednesday! I personally can’t believe it. The days are going by rather quickly, at least for me.

This Saturday, I’m getting my third tattoo based on one of my favorite horror movies, The Witch. I am more nervous about having to rent a car in Boston to make it to the shop, which is a couple hours out of the city. Wish me luck!

I also feel like we’re beginning the slow, miserable march to the holiday season. Not my fave.

I am obsessed with this artist on TikTok. She uses polymer clay (I think) to make pop culture and cool themed snails. She also sells them on her Etsy shop I believe. Right now, she has a lot of Halloween themed ones she’s been making.

Kim-Joy, a baker and contestant from series 9 of The Great British Bake Off now has her own board game! It looks super cute and is more of a cooperative game for 2 – 5 players.

Did you see that author Katee Robert launched a Kickstarter for special editions of her Wicked Villains series?! The books will be in hardcover with different cover art and the series’ short stories included. There’s also a pledge version that comes with a ton of cool swag.

Romance doesn’t get a lot of special hardcover editions like this, especially when compared to YA, so I’ve definitely backed this.

The 2021 Wildlife Photographer of the Year has been announced! I love these wildlife photography competitions. You can see the winner’s image and several of the finalists’ entries here.

Lastly, is it a Bones or No Bones Day? Noodle is a 13-year old Pug who sometimes just doesn’t want to deal with. If his owner sits him up and he stays like that. It’s a “Bones Day” and we can all rejoice. If Noodle flops back over, time to go bad to bed y’all because it’s a “No Bones Day.”

Don’t forget to share what cool or interesting things you’ve seen, read, or listened to this week! And if you have anything you think we’d like to post on a future Wednesday Links, send it my way!

Noodle is adorable. And his “walk” consists of being pulled in a little red wagon (padded with a nice blanket) through the neighborhood.

I’m enjoying these cooking videos from viele Rezepte. Especially the cats in this one. The black and white cat has a regular spot.

I have not cooked anything, so I can’t vouch for recipes.

Oooh my husband just got his first tattoo Friday, at a place a few hours outside Boston. May your tattoo turn out as well as his, and your artist be as awesome as Thomas!

@Kelly: Congrats to your husband! I hope he loves it! I’m seeing a new artist and I’m really excited to see what they’ve come up with after our consult.

  6. My kids and I all love Kim Joy’s Magical Bakery card game! It’s really fun (and so nice to have a cooperative game for our family).
