Links: Jessie’s Girl, Fashion, & More

Workspace with computer, journal, books, coffee, and glasses. It’s the last Wednesday in January! Who let that happen?

We have something very exciting this weekend that will probably make you all feel a bit verklempt. I don’t want to spoil it, but check back on Sunday!

Additionally, February is right around the corner and we all know what that means: a deluge of misinformed romance reading op-eds. We really should make a drinking game for those.

Thanks to AHP for sending this our way! Apparently there’s a bookstore that categorizes books by emotions. It’s a novel (heh) idea, but something that might not work well in practice. I know there are quite a few books some people loved that just made me rage.

Curious about the details behind Dr. Jill Biden’s gorgeous inauguration night coat?

Did you know Kesha has a podcast now? It’s called Kesha & the Creepies, where she invites various celebrities and musicians on to discuss their own paranormal experiences. SIGN ME UP!

If you’re a glutton for punishment and want to add more books to your TBR pile, check out BookPage’s most anticipated releases of 2021!

Enjoy this cover of “Jessie’s Girl”, told from the point of view of Jessie’s girl:

    That coat is just gorgeous!

  2. Escapeologist says:

That bookstore is like a brick and mortar Rec League. How charming, so much more personal than the standard layout.

  3. cleo says:

That Jessie’s Girl remake is brilliant but also super creepy. CW for creepy stalker behavior.

  4. Darlynne says:

I could stare at that coat and dress for hours.

  5. Karin says:

That coat! What an amazing idea, to embroider the flowers of every state and territory.

  6. denise says:

Delaware’s State Flower is the Peach Blossom–4th grade Delaware history. Thank you, Mrs. Philhower. We took so many Delaware-related field trips that year.

  7. RebeccaA says:

I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who thought Jessie’s girl had a creep factor in it.
