You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!
This HaBO comes from Florence, who is hoping to find this paranormal/fantasy romance:
The story is about a woman who is trying to escape something or someone, I think her evil family who wants to marry her off. She gets caught by a group of cursed horsemen (quite sure they had black, scary, truly devilish horses with red eyes). These horsemen are traveling the world like reapers, either collecting souls or killing people that should have died. I believe the horsemen were cursed to this fate because of their evil deeds in the past, such as killing many people at war. The heroine travels along with the group and woos the leader in a heartwarming romance.
Sorry my memory is vague! I read so many books that I might have some parts confused with other stories. Please, if you have even the slightest of ideas I will worship you forever
We clarified that is is not the Thalassa series and it was read more than a year ago.
Larissa Ione’s four horsemen had horses, but I remember absolutely nothing else about the series. Maybe look at Rogue Rider, Lethal Rider, Immortal Rider, and Eternal Rider to see if anything looks familiar?
Could it be part of Zoe Archer’s Hellraisers series?
Perhaps My Lady Mage by Alexis Morgan?
“Wood the leader in a heartwarming romance”.
Bwahahahahaha!
Sounds like Mortal Heart, from Robin LaFevers’ His Fair Assassins series.
Could this be “Mortal Heart” by Robin LaFevers? It’s the last book in her “His Fair Assassin” series.
Book #1: Grave Mercy
Book #2: Dark Triumph
Book #3: Mortal Heart.
It’s a young adult series with assassin nuns.
ASSASSIN NUNS O.O
(skips off to library with fingers crossed)
I read a book similar to this a long time ago. Vengeance Moon by Jocelin Foxe. There was a sequel, too.
@Other Amanda. I came here to say the same.
Agreed – mortal heart by robin lafevers.
Ok, I read this…. it is not a romance, so much as a fantasy, and I cannot think of the name of the book, series, or author, but it is about a group of assassin nuns, set in an alternative universe in their 14th century. Maybe the author is Robin LaFevers.
I am positive it is on pf Hos Fair Assassins books, there is Grave Mercy; Mortal Heart; Dark Triumph.
I don’t think this is the right answer, but your description reminded me of Laura Thalassa’s Pestilence. The heroine traveled along with Pestilence, who was a jerk, but not the other horsemen…

If you like Assassin Nuns, OMFG RED SISTER!
