You did it! We figured this one out! It is a truth universally acknowledged (by me for certain) that the Bitchery pretty much knows everything, and really, it's true. Scroll down to see the solution for this HaBO - and many thanks!
This HaBO comes is from Mary and she’s desperately searching for this romance:
I am having such a senior moment. Lying in my bed wide awake, as usual, around 2, I could not come up with the name of an absolutely delightful book I have read in the last 12 months.
The heroine inherits a bookstore that includes an upstairs apartment and space she decides to rent to a tattoo artist. Her friend comes from San Francisco to help with numbers. Next door is a hipster hardware store. Tattoo artist starts off involved with the tattoo artist across street. There’s also a big fight in street. Tattoo artist’s family takes him for granted, family farm issues, etc.
I can remember scenes, but no names! I have searched my GR and Amazon acct. Help SBTB, you’re my only hope!
Definitely interested in finding this one for myself!
Could it be INK: A Love Story on 7th and Main by Elizabeth Hunter?
Yes, I would buy that!
@Laura: Damn, I was so excited because I knew this one & could solve it! Beaten to the punch!
I really enjoyed the book, too.
Is it Hate to Want you by Alisha Rai?
Oh lord, nevermind…I saw tattoo artist and the rest of the plot totally doesn’t match up!
Laura for the win.
So… is it great? I’ve read an loved a lot of Elizabeth Hunter, but not that one yet.
@Lepiota: You should definitely read it. I’m not sure I would call it “great” – it isn’t in my Favorites Collection, which are the novels that get pulled out for a reread once a year – but it is very good. Also, I really, really want to visit that bookstore.
It’s in my Favorites collection! I preordered the book when I saw it on a SBTB post – had me at the premise of tattoo artist and book seller. But I was raised in Santa Maria, CA and went to college under the redwoods on the North Coast. So major props for the inclusion of Pinquitos at the tritip bbq, and there was even a a moment of Redwood Zen!
My dear denizens of Romancelandia, thank you! It is Ink! And if you have not read it, you should. The second book should be released in 2019!
