  • Everything I Left Unsaid

    Everything I Left Unsaid by M O'Keefe

RECOMMENDED: Everything I Left Unsaid by M. O’Keefe is $1.99! This book has popped up in the comments several times at the site and big thanks to Reader Susan and Reader Peg E for the heads up! Be warned that this is a rather dark romance and does have a cliffhanger, but many say this is a romance that will grab you and before you know it, the sun is coming up.

Fans of Jodi Ellen Malpas, K. Bromberg, and Joanna Wylde will be unable to resist this sexy, deeply intimate tale of a woman running from her past, and the darkly mysterious man who sets her free.

I didn’t think answering someone else’s cellphone would change my life. But the stranger with the low, deep voice on the other end of the line tempted me, awakened my body, set me on fire. He was looking for someone else. Instead he found me.

And I found a hot, secret world where I felt alive for the first time.

His name was Dylan, and, strangely, he made me feel safe. Desired. Compelled. Every dark thing he asked me to do, I did. Without question. I longed to meet him, but we were both keeping secrets. And mine were dangerous. If I took the first step, if I got closer to Dylan—emotionally, physically—then I wouldn’t be hiding anymore. I would be exposed, with nothing left to surrender but the truth. And my truth could hurt us both.

  • The Curse of Chalion

The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold

The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold is $1.99! Ms Bookjunkie on Twitter said it’s one of her favorite fantasy books. Some readers felt their interest in the main character waned, but overall, they enjoyed the plot. It has a 4.1-star rating on Goodreads.

A man broken in body and spirit, Cazaril returns to the noble household he once served as page and is named secretary-tutor to the beautiful, strong-willed sister of the impetuous boy who is next in line to rule. It is an assignment Cazaril dreads, for it must ultimately lead him to the place he most fears: the royal court of Cardegoss, where the powerful enemies who once placed him in chains now occupy lofty positions.

But it is more than the traitorous intrigues of villains that threaten Cazaril and the Royesse Iselle here, for a sinister curse hangs like a sword over the entire blighted House of Chalion. And only by employing the darkest, most forbidden of magics can Cazaril hope to protect his royal charge — an act that will mark him as a tool of the miraculous . . . and trap him in a lethal maze of demonic paradox.

  • 30 Days

    30 Days by Christine d'Abo

30 Days by Christine d’Abo is $2.99! Another thanks to Reader Peg E for the sale alert! It also came up on a previous podcast with Kensington editor, Esi Sogah:

I’ve been recommending 30 Days by Christine D’Abo left, right, and center, which is an erotic romance, and it is the erotica P.S. I Love You.  It was one of those books where, when I got it I said, what?!  And then I started reading it, and I was like, and, I mean, immediately, like, chapter one, I was like, this is amazing.  And it is definitely erotic; it’s really dirty; but it’s also really sweet.

For years, Alyssa has been going to bed with a memory. Is she ready to wake up with a fantasy?

Some people wait their whole lives to find their soul mate, but not Alyssa Barrow. She met Rob at nineteen, and they were set to live happily ever after—until he became ill. In his final days, Rob urged his beautiful, young wife not to abandon happiness—or pleasure. He even left her a special gift, a sexy game plan to help her move on: Thirty cards with instructions for thirty days of passion. You’ll know when the time is right, he’d said. Now it’s two years later, and when Alyssa meets her hot new neighbor, Harrison Kemp, she begins to think the right time is right now…

From his sculpted thighs to his devilish grin, Harrison is the kind of man women want. Before she can lose her nerve, Alyssa tells Harrison about her long-ignored cards…and asks him to help her fulfill them. It’s a favor he’s more than happy to, um, perform. With his skillful touch, and the hot press of his lips against her skin, Alyssa finds herself re-awakening to life—and a host of other sensations. But what began as not-so-innocent fun soon grows into true intimacy, and Alyssa realizes she’s opening herself up not just to sex…but to love. When it comes to a future with Harrison, what’s really in the cards?

Saucy, heartwarming, and insightful, 30 Days explores the agony—and the ecstasy—of starting over, and how a little encouragement, and a little courage, can go a long way…

  • The Devil’s Thief

The Devil’s Thief by Samantha Kane

The Devil’s Thief by Samantha Kane is 99c at most vendors! However, some are still listing the price at $2.99. This historical romance features a daughter of reformed thief, who takes up her father’s trade when she finds herself in some financial difficulty. Readers thought this was a great start to a new series, but some could not get on board with the hero. Have you read this one?

The daughter of a reformed jewel thief, Julianna Harte knows a thing or two about stealth. When the foundling home she provides for finds itself in dire financial straits, Julianna is forced to do the unthinkable. In a bit of misguided Robin Hood derring-do, she slips through the window of a wealthy rake to search for a treasure she knows is there: an invaluable pearl. But when the towering and very naked occupant of the moonlit bedroom ambushes her with a bargain—a night in his bed in exchange for the pearl—Julianna doesn’t know if it’s masculine heat or sheer desperation that makes his terms so tempting.

Alasdair Sharpe had no intention of keeping his end of the bargain. Planning to offer his little cat burglar carte blanche instead, he promptly loses himself in the delights of unexpected pleasure. But when he awakes the next morning to find his family heirloom gone, fury quickly replaces sensual languor. Of course, Alasdair is more than willing to use seduction to reclaim his stolen pearl—and find the key to Julianna’s heart.

Virginia Kantra’s Carolina Woman is on sale for $1.99 at amazon

  2. Heather S says:

Three books by KW are on sale, including “The Flame and the Flower”, on Amazon.

  3. @Jas Amazon doesn’t recognise that as a book for me. Are you sure about the title?

The narration of The Curse of Chalion is wonderful, so if you snag the Kindle copy and add whispersync to Audible, you’re in for a treat. Love love love!

  4. Eve Pendle says:

Before any other brits get excited about buying everything I left unsaid, it’s not on sale. Quite the opposite, it’s £8.75, about 13 dollars. 🙁

  5. Lynn says:

DA says Theresa Romain’s The Sport of Baronets is on sale. I know there are a lot of Theresa Romain fans here, has anyone read this one?

  6. @Amanda says:

@Lynn: We did a mini review of the Sport of Baronets novella in November!

  7. jw says:

Bujoid is really wonderful. Her Shards of Honor is one of my all time favorite scifi-romances although I’m more ambivalent about her fantasy writing.

  8. Jas says:

@ms bookjunkie I am so sorry. It is Carolina Girl!!!

  9. Teev says:

@ lynn: Sport of Baronets is free at Amazon right now so no reason not to check it out.

  10. Barb in Maryland says:

Curse of Chalion has first place on my keeper shelf and I read it at least once a year. Besides several lovely romances and deadly palace politics, there is one of the most developed religions in any fantasy I’ve read. Indeed, I believe someone(Bujold herself? a reviewer?) called the book ‘speculative theology’. I’d be one-clicking this if I didn’t already own it in all formats!

  11. 30 DAYS is great! Well worth 2.99, IMO.

I rarely review books on my Goodreads page – especially rarely review romances b/c as a writer, it brings up lots of issues of whether or not I know the person, the dreaded trolling for reciprocal reviews, etc. So I review more children’s stuff and nonfiction that romance, when it comes down to it. But 30 Days was a book I felt like I needed/wanted to review on Goodreads (and it helps that I don’t know the author).

  12. PamG says:

The Paper Magician series by Charlie N. Holmberg is 1.99 per book at Amazon today. I really enjoyed the first book and just haven’t gotten around to the 2nd & 3rd yet. It’s an altered history type fantasy set in quasi-England and involves a teacher pupil relationship that feels creep-free to me. I look forward to reading the other two books when my tbr pile is whittled down.

  13. L says:

I have a love/hate relationship with The Flame and the Flower. On the one hand it’s the first historical romance I remember ever reading so has a special place in my heart. On the other hand I re-read it years later and thought, “What the hell! He’s a rapist and she’s a doormat.” Yet I must confess I’m still tempted at $1.99 to get it. What is wrong with me?

  14. Kareni says:

The science fiction romance Dark Horse by Michelle Diener is currently on sale to Kindle readers for 99 cents until January 9 at

  15. Mary Star says:

That you, @Teev! Just downloaded Sport of Baronets.

Courtney Milan’s Unveiled is 99 cents at Amazon.

  16. Samanda says:

Courtney Milan’s Turner Brothers series (enhanced versions) is on as a boxed set on Amazon.ca for $9.99. Not sure if that’s a sale price or regular for the set but so worth every penny. I already have one of the 4 books, but getting them all for that price is worth the duplication. (Quick check: the boxed set is U$ 8.99)

  17. Tam B. says:

Marry Me At Christmas by Susan Mallery is 72c in Australia on Amazon at the moment. No idea if it’s on sale elsewhere.

  18. Texas Book Lover says:

30 Days was fantastic! It grabs you from the get go and doesn’t let go! Well worth the price!

  19. Anne Ba says:

Upon entering The Curse of Chalion to my TBR list, it autocorrected to The Curse of Chalupa. Now I may never be able to take it seriously. On the other hand, will someone please write that for me? I would read the heck out of cursed chalupas.

  20. Kasi says:

Everything I Left Unsaid is one of the best books I read in 2015.

  21. Sarah says:

Gahhhhh! I decided to purchase 30 Days and I’m already crying within the first chapter. I have a feeling it’s going to be a long reading night for me!

  22. @Jas No worries. (I already have Carolina Girl, I had hopes it was a new-to-me book in the series I could snag…)

    @Kareni Thanks! I’m intrigued…
