Do you see it? Do you? Huh?
It’s the best Accidental Dong on a romance novel cover since Deep Kiss of Winter!
Here’s a less-scuffed version of the cover, which has, alas, been changed.
Poor guy. It won’t even fit in his pants.

That is quite the lefty.
Oh, yes. Yes I do. And Yeah, I guess I AM that easy, cause I would give that book a ride.
Bwahahahahaha…you must submit those covers to AcidentalDong.com.
LMAO now that is sure a couple of guys with some super powered erections rising so high, one straight, the other swinging to the left. Someone’s got to work on their shadowing in Photoshop or whatever software their using.
Is this some photoshop tool I’m unfamiliar with? “Upthrust” or something similar, that gets accidentally clicked?
The review at the bottom of the page, “Goodman knows how to turn up the heat”. What about the cover artist knowing how to turn up something else? They forgot to include that bit.
Yes, I’m that easy, too!
@Donna
@Jennifer Armintrout LMAO but is it an accident? Maybe photoshop got turned on by that very lickable chest? hehe
I didn’t see it at first—I was looking on his pants. Now it practically, um, smacks me in the face!
I posted the cover of Pamela Clare’s “Breaking Point” last month which has huge accidental penis:
http://ellisonblog.wordpress.com/2011/07/18/dirty-mind-dirty-book-cover/
All I can think of is “Ride a cowboy, save a horse”….
I don’t believe for a minute that it’s accidental,
but then, I’m cynical that way.
I do so love an accidental wang every once in a while.
FYI, Goodman wrote about the cover snafu on her website, in the section appropriately titled “tidbits”: http://www.jogoodman.com/tidbits.php#kissing
Like Hannah, I looked in the wrong/right place to start with and it was only after I read the comments that I saw it. Oooooooooops to the cover designer. Or kudos, if intentional!
Yeah, I am also thinking it was deliberate, just a touch not as subtle as they hoped. That Accidental dong site? Mother Nature has a field day with this. I think she wants to keep us on our toes (so to speak).
HA! That’s like one of those hidden picture posters that you stare at ‘til your eyes cross and then it jumps out at you. Too bad they never had any with penises on them. That would’ve been soooo much better than a dolphin or a sailboat.
Now that you see it you can’t NOT see it. Can you imagine Ms. Goodman’s surprise…
I didn’t see it, didn’t see it, didn’t see it… then I literally jumped and said OH Good Lord! :-O I mean really. Holy smokes Batman! LOL
effect79 – yah that’s some effect all right! lol
Seriously, is there anyway that’s NOT subliminal messaging?
“Kissing Comfort” is so not what I am thinking when looking at that cover.
I wonder if this is something bored cover artists do intentionally, in a spirit of “How much can I sneak past the editors?” Everyone’s got to make their own entertainment, right?
It took me the LONGEST time to see this. I was looking at the fence, at his hand by his crotch, and not seeing it. I felt like I was back in junior high school when everyone else was sniggering at dirty jokes I didn’t get. But now I see it. And now it’s the first thing I see when I look at the cover.
@ robin – thanks for the Jo Goodman link. I love that everyone at Berkeley had fun playing “what’s wrong with this cover” after someone noticed it.
Well we know he dresses left.
OMG The accidental Dong is my new fave website!! Thank you!
I clicked on the link to see the new cover and read the book description. One of the characters names is Bode DeLong; in my brain, the first time I read it, I thought it said Bode LeDong….
Seriously, the author had to be thinking that…
I like. Forget the book….I want the book cover model. Yum. I like a guy that fires my imagination when reading. The problem with an ereader is that you can’t flip back to the cover to get another look while reading. ;o)
I’m also in the “wondering if the cover artist do it on purpose for amusement” camp. I mean I had to do the whole look…look… I don’t s…OMG! thing too but once you spot it it just screams intentional.
Biology or cryptozoology?
Or crappy codeology?
