Mazel Tov!

Many Bitchy Congratulations to Darlene Marshall, aka Duchess of Twitterpants, who not only maintains a really staggering number of total comments on this here site, but more importantly snagged herself an Eppie Award for her novels! The Eppies “honor the finest electronically published books of the year” – hooray for Darlene!

Not only did she win for “Best Historical Romance,” but she tied with herself – now that is cool. She actually has TWO awards – one for Captain Sinister’s Lady and one for Pirate’s Price. Like really super cool bookends, I must assume.

Congrats, Twitterpants!

UPDATE: I totally looked over the list when I saw it for the first time, and COMPLETELY blanked on the fact that, as she so rightly pointed out, Her Ladyship, Contessa Crotche d’Caramelle, aka Alessia Brio, also won for “Best Erotica” for Fine Flickering Hungers.

It is so nice to see the Bitchery Peerage represented come awards time. Congratulations, Ladies!

I’m excited for you, Darlene, and for me, too, because I’ve been looking for more ebooks to download to my Treo.  Can you give me the order of your series, though, since I can’t seem to figure it out on my own!

  4. Thanks, everyone, and congratulations to you too, Contessa!

Robin, my books aren’t a series, but Pirate’s Price is set a generation before Smuggler’s Bride.  The heroine of Smuggler’s Bride is the daughter of the H&H of Pirate’s Price.

Captain Sinister’s Lady is a stand-alone novel, though there’s a nod-and-a-wink to Pirate’s Price in it.  I have two characters, Richard and Robin, who are sort of the “Jay and Silent Bob” of my novels.  They pop up in all three books.

Again, thanks, everyone, and thank you, Sarah. This was the 10th Epicon and it’s wonderful to have ebooks come into their own as a publishing norm.
