This book is really two mysteries in one, and when they collide it’s a wonderful “ah-ha” moment. I wish I could say more than that, but I don’t want to ruin a single thing for another reader.
Make It Sweet by Kristen Callihan is $1.99! Aarya mentioned this in February’s Hide Your Wallet and said she was tempted by the blurb. I haven’t kept up with Callihan’s more current romances. What do you think of them?
RECOMMENDED: The Blacksmith Queen by G.A. Aiken is $2.99! What a coincidence, as this was my one pick for hilarious reading in our latest Ready Set Go. I also gave this an A-. Seriously, it’s so much fun:

Iron and Magic by Ilona Andrews is $2.99! This is the first book in a new series by Andrews and features a hero who was a bit of a villain in the Kate Daniels series. I’m on the fence on whether this can be read without finishing Kate Daniels. Any experts care to weigh in?
Midnight Obsession by Melinda Leigh is $1.99 at Amazon! This romantic suspense is the fourth book in the Midnight series. After reading some reviews, it looks like the hero and heroine’s relationship is already underway (?) and seems more like deepening romantic feelings in the face of danger. If I’m wrong, comment below!
Beginner’s Luck by Kate Clayborn is 99c! Sarah gave this book a C- because she was hoping for some more depth in the book. However, I remember seeing the Bitchery recommend it in comments. This might be a Your Mileage May Vary situation. It also has a scientist heroine!
Most Valuable Playboy by Lauren Blakely is 99c! This is a sports romance with a fake relationship element. Readers say this has a great blend of humor and sexiness. However, others felt annoyed with the heroine’s constant pining for the hero.
When the Duke was Wicked by Lorraine Heath is $1.99! This is the first book in the Scandalous Gentlemen of St. James series. Heath has been referred to by both Sarah MacLean and Jessie Edwards, L’AwesomePublicist at Avon, as one of the most underrated stars of historical romance. You can also grab all three books in the series for $7!
When this book was last on sale, Pooks said she loves this whole series, as the heroes were all raised by Fagin from Oliver Twist.
Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent is 99c at most vendors! This is the first book in an urban fantasy series with some romantic elements between ex-lovers. Readers loved the heroine and her ability to track the paranormal. However, some mentioned that the book’s shifting POVs can get confusing. It has a 3.8-star rating on Goodreads.
