Starling House by Alix E. Harrow is $2.99! Sarah and I mentioned this in Hide Your Wallet last October. I think I wound up grabbing it in audio, but am notoriously bad at whittling down my audiobook library.
The Cutthroat Countess by Minerva Spencer is $3.99 at Amazon! It’s available elsewhere, but not at the sale prince. This is the third book in the Wicked Women of Whitechapel. Book one was favorably reviewed.
Be Mine Forever by Kennedy Ryan is a KDD at $1.99 today only! This is book 3 in the Bennet series, and it has a 4+ star average on Goodreads, and 3.72 on StoryGraph. Ryan’s books are superb, with strong emotions and complex characters. Readers state that the emotional payoff for this story was incredible, though some grew weary of the angst on the way. Have you read this one?
RECOMMENDED: Nona the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir is $2.99! This is Kindle Daily Deal, so grab it while you can! AJ gave this on an A grade. This is the third book in the Locked Tomb series, which certainly should be read in order.
RECOMMENDED: The Perfect Crimes of Marian Hayes by Cat Sebastian is $1.99! Carrie gave it a B+:
This book succeeds in that it gives an irresistible couple in sweet, goofy Rob and grumpy Marian. I adored this couple for their ability to think outside the box, their easy and complete acceptance of each other, and their banter.
The Brass Queen by Elizabeth Chatsworth is $2.99! I mentioned this on a recent Hide Your Wallet because I was very interested in the heroine. Have any of you picked this up?
Improper by Darcy Burke is 99c! This is (so far) only available at the sale price on Amazon. It’s book one in The Phoenix Club series, though other books in the series are also on sale.
Dial A forAunties by Jessie Q. Sutanto is $2.99! This is a mix of cozy mystery and romance. It’s also been recommended a ton of previous podcast episodes. Have you read it?
Overall, this book had many strong elements, with a few minor missteps. I think you pretty much get what you expect in terms of a relatively light, atmospheric, sexy sapphic romance perfect for spooky season. If there are additional series entries, I will absolutely be reading them.
The Hidden Moon by Jeannie Lin is 99c! This is part of the Lotus Palace Mystery series. I think these can be read on their own rather than in order, but definitely let me know in the comments if that’s not the case.
Firelight by Kristen Callihan is $1.99! This is the first book in the Darkest London series, a series that I mostly enjoy. In the first three books, the heroines are sisters and I’d rank them in their series order. The third is my least favorite, namely because it contains a lot of tropes that aren’t my thing. However, I still have enjoyed what I’ve read thus far.
